The location
Hele eiendommen var under oppussing. Flere av fellesrommene var stengt, og det var halvveis revet og halvveis satt i stand flere steder. Føltes som å bo på en byggeplass. Veldig trivelig vert, og god frokost!
Location, food facilities
Renovation going on old buildings
What a fantastic little gem!
Formerly, the Nightingale Hotel, this place boasts some very interesting and recent history well worth reading into.
Reasonably priced for our short stay and staff are very attentive - nothing is too much trouble.
Breakfast room, Bar area and billiard/gentleman's-feel room all boast a fantastic sea-view, from wherever you choose to sit and free, on-site parking.
There is also a spacious garden area, in which, you can relax.
Hotel is a 5min walk from pub, 10-15mins walk, down the slope, to the beach and a 5min drive into, the very nearby, Shanklin village.
Would absolutely stay here again.
Nothing to dislike about this hotel/location.
Huge roon. Friendly staff. Brilliant value.
A bit rough around the edges. A bit of building work going on.
Great location, clean room. Lovely breakfast and owner was very friendly and a font of knowledge about the history of the hotel, which is well worth asking about.
Nothing.
A Big effort was made towards breakfast,
Where do I start, I think that the hotel had been neglected by previous owners and it is in need of a total refurbishment , everything is very outdated and making it look and feel grubby. Sorry but we would not be returning at any time.
The location is great looking over the seafront and not far from the local shops, restaurants and pubs.
Breakfast good and comes out hot.
Land lord Steve friendly and chatty once you get to know him. Great to see the needed renovations/improvements going on around the property.
Comfy beds we had and everything we needed.
Wifi was poor in our room (no.3) .
Shower pressure a little low, but was hot, clean and ok.
The property was really well located, the manager was very helpful and obliging and it was clean , a spacious room with a fab view of the sea , a good breakfast and overall great value
They are undergoing some renovation works to the hotel so first impressions could be unfavourable but don’t let it put you off, it’s short term
Room, view, bed, garden, service
It is still in process of renovation which might put off some guests but did not impact on my stay
Steve tried to rectify the issues, but Booking.com falsely advertised the property!

Not dog friendly, not allowed to eat inside. Didn’t feel welcome.
Keats Green is a great base to explore the island or just stay local. Our room was very comfortable with a great sea view, a small refrigerator was a good bonus in this heat to keep drinks cold, Steve also provided us with a fan, breakfast was a good selection & hot food was cooked to order. The hotel is a work in progress & Steve is non stop but always has time for a chat and an update on his plans, we look forward to returning & seeing his finished Hotel.
The location was lovely, right on the cliff and 5 minutes walk down to the beach in one direction, and 5 minutes to town in the other.
The staff were polite and accommodating where possible.
The building is old and although run down, this adds to its charm.
The room we were in had 2 external walls therefore 2 windows, however, only one opened.
With no air conditioning, we were given a fan for the room (which was considerably hotter than outside, and airless). We needed to have the room door open to the corridor to allow some air movement and for some (minimal) heat to escape.
The external of the building is being completely renovated which was not mentioned on the hotel description. The garden is mostly a work site.
The pool is not usable and grounds are overgrown and out of bounds.
Nice and chilled, beautiful views and fab breakfast
