Comfortable Room with a View if not sensitive to street noise
Pros:

The staff were welcoming and helpful. They allowed us to check in earlier and to swap rooms. Breakfast was very good, beds were comfortable, and the shower was powerful. The room was well cleaned and the air conditioning is of good quality. The front rooms have nice views of the Theatre and Justice Palace.

Cons:

The windows are not double glazed, and as a result there is constant noise from the streets even during late and early hours. As a quick short-term fix, I would suggest that earplugs could be made available in the rooms.
Compared to other hotels of similar price range in the area, furnishings and facilities are a bit outdated, but overall for short-stays are fine.

A água do chuveiro sempre estava fria. Não teve um dia que a água do nosso chuveiro ficasse quente. Mesmo sendo de dois registros, uma quente e outra fria, a quente saía quase minimamente quente, mas não era suficiente para ficar uma temperatura agradável. Mas para quem não é da região Norte, ou de outra televisão que tem costume de tomar banho mais frio, achei bem difícil, pois tomo banho na água morna.

Excellent location and clean hotel
Pros:

Excellent location directly opposite the Teatro Amazonia. Close to the main square behind the theatre where it is very lively with the bars and restaurants on the square.

Cons:

Our first room which was roadside facing had a lot of flying ants and reception promptly moved us to another room which faced the back of the building.
