Good location but accommodation rather disappointing
Pros:

We were travelling on the NC500 route around The Highlands – and this was another one of our overnight stops. Our room was clean and tidy and there was good free parking right opposite. The hotel was also within easy walking distance of the town centre. However, the accommodation itself was disappointing. We had booked a ‘small double room’. Well, it was ‘small’ all right. The room only had a sky-light – no window looking out anywhere. There was a sliding-door contraption to the bathroom – not much privacy there. We assumed a standard ‘hinged’ door would not fit because the room was so small – consequently a hinged door would be impossible to open without hitting the bed. The plumbing in the building was something else! Very, very noisy … not just in our room – but from adjoining rooms as well. The toilet seat was ‘floating’ (not fitted properly) and slid around when you sat on it. The wash-basin was tiny – and if you lowered your head to wash your face – you hit your head on the glass shelf positioned immediately above the basin. We did not bother ordering breakfast – or having an evening meal – preferring to go elsewhere. All in all, this was NOT good value for money.

Cons:

As for 'what we didn't like' ... well, life's too short!

Make sure get room expected and check mattress.
Pros:

Location and car parking

Cons:

Old dirty sprig mattress with single sheet on top and no protector, resulting in dusturbed and uncomfortable sleep. Also, givern wrong room on arrival, and only changed upon early identification of a "river view" not being provided in a very small room at the back without any hooks etc to hang anything.

Die Lage ist für einen Spaziergang am Fluss oder zum Strand ideal. Supermärkte sind zu Fuß erreichbar.

Cons:

Der Empfang war extrem unfreundlich. Das Hotel hat offenbar Frust, weil ein Reiseanbieter die Zusammenarbeit mit diesem Hotel aufgrund vieler Beschwerden gekündigt hat. Ich hatte jedoch eigenständig dort gebucht. Das Zimmer machte einen renovierungsbedürftigen Eindruck, für eine Nacht war es ok.

Aardig maar we hadden ons er meer van voorgesteld.
Pros:

De ligging van het hotel is goed, heel centraal gelegen met vrije parkeergelegenheid aan de overkant!

Cons:

Kleine kamers zonder ruimte om iets op te bergen. Badkamer zonder redelijke ruimte om wat neer te zetten. Warm water maar niet heet uit de douche.
Op aanvraag van advies van een whisky werd ons een glas van 12 pond geschonken.
Geen goede koffie zoals espresso.
