Would stay again.
Pros:

Food generally good. Very large portions. Quiet, pleasant location. Lovely shower gels, coffee etc in room.

I asked for feather free duvet and pillows due to allergies. Our bed was made up with feather filled duvet and pillows, but when this was pointed out, it was changed with no issue at all, which was appreciated.

Cons:

A small thing but no butter at breakfast to go with toast, but provided on request.

Beautiful country B&B with beautiful views and exceptional customer service
Pros:

Staff were so accommodating and friendly. We were early to arrive due to an early wedding, and they gave us access to a quiet part of the restaurant to get ready. They moved our bags into our room as we were late back from the wedding. Gorgeous breakfast served the next day. Would recommend to everyone and would love to stay again.

Lovely location & buidling, service was hit and miss
Pros:

Location, comfy bed, warm/hot shower

Cons:

Build up of dust in the extractor fan with mould growing on it. Breakfast table not laid out for us on the Saturday and when it was, bits missing, no condiments, teaspoons. Staff member Saturday morning lacked warmth but pole apposite, today (Sunday).

Perfect stay in perfect location
Pros:

With Pendle Hill as a backdrop and in the beautiful village of Downham, the Assheton Arms was the perfect setting for a couple of days away. The rooms were lovely and clean and the bed very comfy. The food both evening meal and breakfast were delicious and the staff couldn’t do enough and were so helpful and pleasant. Overall a beautiful stay in a beautiful place.

The only reason i would not stay again was the reception we recived when we arrived. Everything else was lovely

Staff who received us did not share information with us about the room saying he did not know as it wasn’t his job, he was very indifferent to our situation.Kitchen staff and breakfast was amazing
