The sea view room had a great view over the estuary and was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The bathroom looked recently refurbished. The public areas have had a makeover and were very smart. The bar area was comfortable and relaxing.The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good.
There was an extra charge for car parking which I didn't see mentioned on the website (although in fairness it wasnt excessive). Although the hotel does evening meals, the menu when we stayed was extremely limited and we ended up going elsewhere.
The hotel is in a beautiful location large garden with plenty of parking and very friendly staff
Bed could’ve been larger, but that is just my preference
The room was very nice. View of the sea front. Breakfast was good-many choices. Did not eat dinner there. The dining room was somewhat austere and not welcoming for an evening dinner.
Parking was easy although it was an extra payment which was not made clear on booking.com website.
The entire building is showing its age. Needs some repair and painting.

In general it’s a tired old building , however it has charm.
Room was clean and comfortable, lovely sea view. Breakfast was amazing, really loved the granola / yoghurt and fruit compote, Location was ideal, right in the middle of the seafront andnear town ctr.
Had to ask for more teabags and milk in the room, other than that no complaints!
Ample choice fir tge breakfast but the evening meal was excellent with plenty of choice
Would have been nice to have had a walk in shower rather than climb into the bath but that's just our personal preference

Location was very pleasant with a good sea view which we had to pay a small fee but worth it.

Breakfast Excellent. room shabby & bed old and uncomfortable. Been to this hotel many times before & this time it appears shabby in places. We understand there is to be a refurbishment but not until end of 2027.
We were there 3 days/nights and only once was our room entered which seemed to have involved washing the two cups & a refill of coffee/tea . Providing one toilet roll but no tidy of bathroom/towels or making of the bed, so basically we got into a bed Sunday evening & I quess they would have stripped it on Wednesday morning when we checked out …..

We liked the faded grandier of the hotel, and the perfect lication.a big plus was the freindly and helpful staff.

Ideal large room. Breakfast and staff were excellent. LOcation was perfect.
Better view from our room. We booked a sea view which the room did have, but as we were on the ground floor the view was limited.
All members of the Imperial team were welcoming, friendly and effective in the provision of gratitude service and care. It was particularly noticeable that if one team member was a bit overrun the others all chipped in to help. The location was perfect. Whilst the building is obviously in need of some upkeep and some of the facilities could do with updating the overall experience gave a comfortable charmed feeling. We will be back.
Loud bass beat in our 2nd floor room due to a large party in the dining room, fortunately it stopped at 11pm. (This was discussed when we checked out and there was some surprise noted when we mentioned it)
