Well located for the beach. Dog friendly room with patio doors for quick access to grass.
It looked grand from the road and was quite central and easy to find. The breakfast was good with a fair selection of standard items like bacon sausages scrambled eggs. Fried eggs were available if you asked. Juice was good. Room shower was good although a big step down to the floor.
The property was tired with worn carpets and chairs in the breakfast room. We wanted to have our evening meal there but choice was limited especially as two items were no longer available … sold out. We went to local pub instead. We thought the £6 parking fee was unnecessary and better to have been just part of the booking.
Location is 100%. Room was clean and comfortable and as it faced the car park wasn’t too hot. Staff are all friendly. Car park is large and reasonable to park.
Slowest lift ever. One morning I had no hot water but the hotel was full so maybe I should have risen earlier. Would be nice to have water in room. Bar staff provided carafe for me to take upstairs so thank you for that.
Lovely spacious room with great sea views . Big bay window and extra side window. 7 opening lights so not too hot even in the heatwave. Good breakfast. Good public spaces including outdoor spaces. Good lift
The bathroom felt a little small and dowdy, though it was perfectly clean and functioned very well
Ideal location on the seafront. 5min walk to the town centre.
Lovely room. Comfortable bed. Spotlessly clean. Friendly & very helpful staff.
Excellent breakfast, well cooked & hot.
The breakfast was very good and location of hotel was excellent
Walk in showers would be nice rather than bath with shower over
Location by the beach in lovely Exmouth. Easy access to beach and the town (5min walk each way). Comfortable room with outside balcony. Very clean and tidy. Comfy bed, nice towels. Lovely staff. Would def stay again.
Able to walk to the train and buses to tour area meant we didn’t need to use the car.
Exmouth has a great choice of restaurants and bars with free live music. Recommend the Rover Ex cafe for a treat (book well in advance) and the Pavilion theatre.
Paying for parking, I know it’s not unusual these days but it irritates me.
Room service provided on 3 days per week, meant we had to ask for teabags and milk from reception on one day. I totally understand and support less room service, but extra beverage supplies should be left in the room to cover the days of no service.
Bien placé et bon petit déjeuner
Personnel sympathique
Salle de bain un peu mal organisée
Great location for everything
The hotel was ideally situated for access to the main town and to the sea front. Room was large and well appointed if decor a little tired. Car parking was available on site although at a cost - £6 per night
The hotel, although impressive to look at, was on the tired side. Enquired about a lift because of mobility problems and told that there was a lift BUT not told that it did not serve all floors. Ended up having two flights of stairs to negotiate.
There was an issue with room lights tripping on several occasions and the lack of a phone line to Reception meant that we could not report it immediately.
Had a wonderful room with balcony over looking the garden and sea
Fantastic situation
Just little cleaning errors, also matteress cover stained.
Staff incredibly pleasant and helpful. The Sea View from our room was excellent, along with the balcony. Good parking. Good access inside via lift. Excellent location.
No fridge in room - shockingly ignoring the current climate. Evening dinner negligible. No useful draws in room. Poor loo paper. A replacement TV? We got the impression the place, or at least the room, might have been emptied by the previous owner, and the new owner had put in the bare minimum room facilities to stay open? Room cleaning was below average; bathroom totally missed on one day, balcony not cleaned at all - table filthy.
We liked the location, being right on the seafront. Parking on site was a bonus. The hotel was quirky, if a little dated. However the rooms were comfortable, although very warm.
The room was hot, probably due to the exceptional heatwaves this summer. However a fan was provided and we were able to open the window.
Location is perfect.
Tired interior. Rooms in desperate need of a make over. Beds are old and uncomfortable and I dread to think what lived in the carpets!!!
Location and price
My wife and I been coming to the imperial now for over 10 years and i coming to Exmouth since 1967 it’s a great place to take the family plus this year the weather was excellent
