An proper old fashioned, pleasant hotel in a beautiful location. Reminded me of family holidays in the 1980s.
It was a bit hot on the top floor!
Staff all extremely friendly and helpful. Liked the position and the sea view and the gardens. Liked the terrace and Bar. The Dinning room was fantastic.
The room was nice and all good.
The Hotel was beautiful if a little jaded in a few places, skirtings for example.
The sunday night something went wrong with the food and the only thing on the limited menu I could eat was belly of pork which was too fatty for me.
The gardener woke us up 2 mornings by doing work right under our window, which looks onto the carpark, include a very loud strimmer at 815am - we're on holiday.
Breakfast could be a bit later as well.
Restaurent menu was very limited. Could also have had a menu for bar food, for evenings etc.
No cocktails available, no cocoanut milk for pina colada for example. Hot drinks all good in the bar. Food and drinks will make you money.
Bed was very hard and hurt my back. Needs a really thick mattress topper, many of your clients are older and need extra padding. This is very important. The covers and duvet were lovely.
Location Lovely staff good atmosphere Excellent views from room Trouble free parking
Evening meal food was poor quality and unappetising
Comfortable, clean room with good sea view.
Friendly welcoming staff.
Location and the grounds are lovely.
No evening meal available
The room was exceptional for views and convenience for the lift
The evening meals were poor quality. On our first evening the meal was not edible so we returned it. The breakfast was ok but not top quality
Great friendly staff and very clean bedroom
Nothing
The location is excellent - a short walk from the town centre and seafront. The car park is spacious and the staff were all helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent.
The furnishings in our room were a bit tired and the bed too firm even for me. We wanted to have an evening meal in the hotel as the weather was awful but were told we couldn't as a coach party was booked in. Fair enough, but some provision for other guests such as bar meals would have been good.
Breakfast is excellent value and the on-site parking is worth spending a bit more to stay here. Location is perfect for the beach and they have lovely gardens to let the dogs run around.
The shower is in the bath and not in good condition. Also, it's not easy to get in and out of the shower when the floors are wet. Our room opened up on to the garden and as it was raining the dogs got quite wet. It would have useful to have had a doormat or dog towels supplied as they charge £20 per dog per night.
Great location and friendly staff
Good location and friendly staff
Great location and the bedroom was clean, tidy and comfortable. We didn't have any meals so can't rate the food.
Would have preferred to pay using card machine rather than the receptionist taking card to enter details onto computer.
Parking payment instructions in the car park are different to what actually happens. Parking should be free for those staying at the hotel.
