Cleaning - its ar 3 days,; we were expecting at least to take the trash.

I would suggest adding salt and pepper to the kitchen condiments.
Also not sure why housekeeping staff ran into my apartment without knocking in the morning.

Many of the facilities in the room were dysfunctional or broken, without maintenance. When I first checked in to the room, the floor was so dirty and dusty that I needed to mop the floor before we could comfortably walk around the room. The door of the shower cabin was broken and couldn't close during the shower, so as you could imagine, water leaked out every time we took a shower. One of the windows in our room was broken and could easily fell off, so we reported to the front desk and the maintenance people came and locked that window (I hope they fix it in the end). Housekeeping service was random, we couldn't figure out what days they would come. And when they did, they knocked on your door at 8am and asked to make your room :( All adds up to tell you that the hotel lacks operation oversight. Probably the only thing that works was the Reception.

Ein Teil der Zimmer liegt genau neben den Schienen, dies ist sehr laut.
Frühstück würde ich nicht wieder zu buchen, da Frischobst / Gemüse nur sehr wenig verfügbar war und auch auf Nachfrage nicht aufgefüllt wurde also haben wir dies uns dann selbst organisiert.
Sinnvoller ist es im Apartment selbst Frühstück zu machen.
Leider hatten wir auch Warmwasserausfall.

I never put reviews but I think it was so poor how things happened. 10 minutes before checkin, whilst we were on the train for my husbands 40th where I had organised a surprise party for him nearby, I get an email from the hotel/booking.com to say that they have cancelled my reservation.

The stress this caused was big. I called to ask whether this email was true. They said it was and they cannot accommodate us because of maintenance issues. They cannot help anymore because they are fully booked.

We had to book another hotel, so I had to use my credit card which I really try not to use as I seriously try not to use it. However this was an emergency and I had no other option to ensure that everything else went smoothly.

The staff did tell me to follow the link that booking.com The first hotel they suggested was on the other side of London. Luckily my husband knows London a little bit more to tell me where that was. We did end up in a lovely hotel which we will be using again.

It's a shame this happened as we probably would have been repeat customers. 10 minutes before checkin, whilst enroute to an occasion where I'm hosting and was trying to keep as a surprise was not ok. I would have expected a phonecall at least. Money will not be refunded until 3rd June so that is 4 days away.

If there was maintenance as they suggested, it should have been notified earlier and then I would have expected a phonecall at least before an email was sent out.

So my experience here was STRESS!
