Refugio La Paz EcoGlamping

So beautiful, serene, remote. Its magical there! But what is more magical is the lovely host, Carla. She went above and beyond to make our one night stay on the way to la fortuna amazing. I wish we were able to stay there longer. Our car got stuck in a river coming in and Carla helped us find someone to tow it out within a couple of hours. We felt so bad but she didnt make us feel bad. She exuded kindness and hospitality. Note, make sure you read her directions on getting there. We missed that message, and waze told us to go across a very low running creek, but our car got stuck on a rock. Apparently, there is a detour that waze didn't know about. One of the guests ended up saving the day! Carla made dinner for us after that ordeal, even though it was technically after the dinner time closed. Her cooking is amazing for both dinner and breakfast. We had a guided nature walk the following morning before leaving which was also super fun! The dome was magnificent. It is about a five minute walk from the reception, but honestly, you would be safe leaving extra luggage in your car. This place is very isolated from the outside world and very safe. We wish we stayed there longer. Next time, Carla!

This place was pure magic! The domes were incredible, the bed was comfortable, the pillows were soft, the sheets were soft, the comforter was warm. There were lovely trails on the property as well as at least one amazing trail on the neighboring property. The host, Carla was a dream, and her cute mother made the most delicious food. I can’t rave enough about this place. I was able to fully relax and decompress. I wish I had booked more time here, and I hope to return again some day.

This cloud forest accommodation is absolutely amazing. Well off the beaten tourist path. The last section of road is rocky so you’ll need to take it slow. The great thing is, breakfast and dinner are included as the location is fairly remote. There are a few sodas down the road to get a meal at though. We thoroughly enjoyed being immersed in our cloud forest experience, and never saw any other visitors. This is a hidden gem for those that want to enjoy the cloud forest. Your stay also includes a complimentary guided walk!
