Very special.
Pros:

Beautiful decor; fantastic staff; amazing breakfast choices.

Cons:

Aircraft noise.. but after one day got used to it. Earplugs helped at night.
Not a room with a view, but the special charm of the room itself compensated for this.

The apartment and breakfast were very good.

Cons:

We had trouble communicating with the staff, who didn't speak English, and after showing us our reservation, they directed us to another hotel. Even though my girlfriend spoke Thai, the guy at the front desk refused to check us in, claiming everyone else was already checked in. We weren't sure if we were at the right reception, and the receptionist kept directing us to another hotel. Finally, after several phone calls, we managed to check in.
