The bed was very comfortable, and the late check-out time (12pm) was a nice bonus.
The apartment was beautifully decorated — easily one of the most stylish places I’ve stayed in.
Maya (dog) was a cutie!
The host was absolutely incredible: friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. We even ended up having a fun little party with his partner — such a great time, especially when he let his hair down! ❤️
Paid: €45/n
The location is right in the heart of the nightlife scene, which is great if you enjoy being in the middle of the action.
However, Palermo doesn’t seem to have a noise suppression policy, so it can get quite loud during the early hours.
Bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper!
El apartamento es muy maravilloso en un palacio del centro de palermo
Had the best stay here in Palermo. This place is a hidden gem in the centre of the historical centre and was once the place where the Mayer of Palermo lived!! The rooms are filled with history, you can feel the stories and it’s so cosy and beautiful the way Franko has made it. Franco was beyond helpful with everything and we felt so lucky to have found this place. 10/10
Obiekt był czysty, właściciele dbali o nasz komfort. Lokalizacja jest świetna, wszędzie blisko.
Głośno przez lokalizację, ale z zatyczkami można spać komfortowo. Bardzo gorąco w mieszkaniu.
Perfect location, historical building, great host. Great privacy for a shared facility.
(Most likely) a personal thing — there’s a big mirror on the side of the bed. Couldn’t sleep too peacefully.
Nada
its in the city center!near all the attractions by walking distance!the staff is super friendly, and he waited me untill 11.30pm!
A beautiful and charming place to stay in the heart of sunny Palermo.
This apartment is located in a stunning historic building with a special atmosphere and a rich story — it once belonged to the former mayor of Palermo! Staying here was a true pleasure.
The room was beautifully decorated, perfectly clean, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was very cozy, and there were toiletries provided (soap, shampoo, towels). I could also use the fridge, which was very convenient.
The location is absolutely perfect — I didn’t use public transport at all (except once to get to the beach), because everything is within walking distance. Lidl is just a 4-minute walk away, the seafront is about 10 minutes, a charming old coffee café is 5 minutes away, and there's a lively street nearby with amazing bars, pizzerias, and wine spots. All the main attractions, Ballarò market, and the train station are also within 10 minutes on foot.
You’ll also share the flat with the hosts' little dog — friendly and very sweet.
The only downside is that it can be noisy at night, but that's just part of the Palermo vibe. It didn’t bother my sleep at all.
Highly recommended if you want to experience real Palermo life in a place full of character!
Wonderful stay in an actual palazzo! Very close to many primary sites. Close to train station. Walkable from ferry port. Super helpful host. Great bedroom and my own large, extremely clean bathroom. Solid WiFi connection.
You get to live with very nice locals who don't hesitate to give you tips and history lecture about the old palace they live in. The living room and bedroom are so beautiful looking better than in photos and there is even a little wardrobe for your clothes. I loved the location next to cool cafes, bars and museums.
It's quite noisy due to restaurants below but I could sleep well with earplugs that the hosts provided. The bed was too soft for me but that is very subjective.
I stayed in unusual apartment in historic palace, with creative owners (and their small dog). the apartment is filled with vintage furniture, frescoes and pieces of art. the owners are very passionate about the art and history of the city, friendly and helpful. I was kindly given a kettle, and some kitchen items. I was permitted to eat/have tea in the large beautiful hall (but not fully use kitchen for cooking). So, the condition of stay was somewhere between hotel and fully equipped flat, and this corresponded to room description and my expectations.
I had my own private bathroom, however it was not adjacent to my room, I had to go from my room to bathroom through the entrance hall (where owners sometime watch TV) / The area has many bars/restaurants and can be a bit noisy at weekend or evening (if you are light sleeper, take ear plugs, just in case)
The decoration style, location and cleanliness of the apartment… top!
My stay at La dimora del MARCHESE NOTARBARTOLO was absolutely wonderful. The apartment was the most beautiful apartment I have ever stayed in. It was a Sicilian dream. From the tiled floors to the beautiful objects in every room. The host was lovely! He gave me fantastic tips for Palermo and was so friendly. I felt really comfortable there and everything worked perfectly in the apartment. It is located in a very central location, close to everything. The history of the building is also fascinating, over 800 years old.
I wish I could have stayed longer. I will definitely be returning as soon as I can!
Everything was perfect.
