One night family stay
Pros:

Good location and spacious rooms. The host was friendly and helpful.

Cons:

We visited in July, during raining period. It was humid and very cold inside. It smelled like English pub, I think it’s connected to the constant rainy weather and not isolated/heated buildings, it was super clean tough and we had hot water in the shower.

Fantastic place. I'm so pleased with this place and highly recommend to anyone visiting Nuwaraeliya
Most of the amenities are in Europe standards.
Bed was super comfortable and never had a problem with hot water, staff also very helpful and friendly.
We met the owner and he is a super friendly nice guy.
I really liked the flowers and strawberry pots in the balcony...that is amazing 🤩

Definitely 10 out of 10 for this place

This is really an amazing place to stay 👍👍 It really got the characteristics of a property in England..... well maintained and spotlessly clean ... Thumbs up for all the staff

I nearly put off by one of the bad reviews on Booking.com !!
Don't know what's that all about but my stay was very pleasant and satisfying...
Staff are super friendly....rooms are spacious and warm, clean and cosy....
Good bed and hot water.... seriously super value for money 💰

Garden also very nice with full of flowers 🌺🌺
Definitely will stay again if I come to Sri Lanka any time soon 😉😉😉

This amazing place is conveniently located facing one of the main roads in Nuwaraeliya, but some bus drivers can't keep their noise down 😞😞

But I have seen this everywhere in Sri Lanka 😭😭. Not the hotel's fault though

Very Very Bad. Nothing Good there. Worse place Ever.

This place (Clifton Manor, Nuwara Eliya) is the worse place I have booked to stay in whole my life. The place is not maintained or cleaned long time. Very bad unbearable smell all over the place. Lots of Stray dogs outside (front Door) and dog poops everywhere. Also dog fur and hair on all carpets, sofas and all over the place (From Stray Dogs) Only one caretaker Gunasekara is not maintaining the place. He taking dog poops with his slippers wherever he goes. Toilets are very bad not cleaned. Urine and dirt still in the commode. Cannot go balcony Bird poops and dirt’s everywhere in the balcony. What a dirty place. Their photos misleading. This place completely ruined our trip to Nuwara Eliya. Me and my family 6 of them had to go back home with nothing. There is no owner/ Manager or any responsible Person to complain Just caretaker idiot Gunasekara Please don’t do this to people.
Owner’s number cannot contact. Not answering. Anyone or any guest who booked Clifton Manor Nuwara Eliya cannot contact owner or manger or responsible person of this place. The Caretaker Gunasekara Cannot understand anything. This place is very dirty, ugly and very bad smelly. This is a dog poops stinking place. Their photos at websites and videos completely misleading people and fall for it.
This place completely ruined my long weekend trip. This is long weekend holiday in Sri Lanka. I failed to find alternative place to stay as all places booked already in Nuwara Eliya. I was so helpless, disappointed and angry about this place. Me and my family with kid went back to home because this ugly place. Cannot Recommend.
