The rooms aren't really that clean as there are dust quite visible at the mattresses. The rooms can hear the lift sound.

It was good but could be better.
Pros:

The location of this hotel can't be beat. It is right smack in the middle of the eateries and heritage shophouses. The Blue Mansion was right across the street from it.

Cons:

The person(s) who cleaned our room didn't clean it during one of the 4 days we stayed innthe hotel. We had told him to come and clean after we had gone out in an hour or so when he came to our door at 9 a.m. to clean. Then the next day he did clean but did not wash or change the coffee cups which we had used since Day 1. We had to call and ask for.toilet paper because he didn't provide us with a new roll even though there was hardly any left when he came to clean. As for the room, i am glad we were given one facing the back because one facing the street out front would have been noisy. However, it lacked a few essential things to make it really up to snuff: 1) There was no bedside lamp which one can turn on so as not to disturb the other person already sleeping with the room lights having to be on; 2) No electric socket in the bathroom, so one had no choice but to dry one's hair in the bedroom even while the other person is already asleep; 3) An extra towel bar to hang face towels or washed undies would have been nice and useful. Finally, I told a person in the front desk after we checked in that the letter "H" in the name of the hotel above the entrance is hanging loose and could fall down on a guest's head anytime, not to mention it is an eyesore when taking photos with the front of the hotel in the background. But it still wasn't fixed by the time we left 4 days later 😕

Pleasant enough though we are unlikely to stay again

The housekeeping left a lot to be desired. They came into the room even though the Do Not Disturb sign was on the door.

The floor was dirty, and the carpet as well.

Lovely stay in a great lovely location. Very nice room and comfy bed. Nice reception staff and cleaning team.

Clean room, great staff, enough facilities such as iron, iron board, etc

Cons:

The location and cleanliness were excellent, and I was very satisfied with my stay. The only minor issue was that my room faced the street opposite the restaurant, where karaoke could be heard from around 9:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on both nights of my stay. This may not be a problem for most guests, but for senior travellers or those who prefer to rest and sleep early, it could be a little disruptive. Other than that, I had a pleasant stay.
