A great place to stay! Perfect central location on one of the main streets of Valletta. Friendly accommodating staff. Well equipped room, good AC, fridge, coffee machine. My room had a balcony view down to Republic Street. Good breakfast (order off the menu, 4 different options).
A kettle in the room would make it perfect.
The Republic is located right in the thick of Valletta’s shopping and cultural district. If you like hustle and bustle and the high energy of tourists, this is an awesome place to stay.

Excellent location, clean and comfortabl.The staff were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful throughout our stay.. Everything was within walking distance.

Doors are locked after 4pm which means you have to use a code to get in. Reception closes at 9pm and staff leaves premises until the morning. Very loud music coming from the bar below until 11pm

In the heart of Valletta, bars, shops and restaurants on your doorstep. In our room, it was very quiet, no noise from the streets.
We were on 3rd floor. As you went to lift, there looked like a bit of unsightly building work on stairs. This did not affect our stay.

To sum it all up .... I loved everything.
It began with the warm welcome from Alec/Alex. He did an amazing job in explaining everything to me and he is so polite and accommodating. The room and bathroom was spacious. The bed linens were fabulous and they had a great range of pillows so you could find one of 2 to your liking. The air conditioner worked beautifully and it was welcome. Between the bed/pillow/linens and air conditions .... I slept wonderfully. I can't say enough good things about this property and the service they provide.
