Beautiful hotel. Friendly staff. Fabulous location. Stunning walk
Scrambled eggs at breakfast were tasteless.
The rooms were clean and comfortable, the food was nice. One of the bar staff and the people at the front desk were nice
We booked for my mother's 60th birthday and arranged sweets and a card to be put in her room when we booked and checked with reception prior to check in - nothing was in the rooms. We were left waiting for tables at lunch and dinner even though we had bookings, the staff had no idea about the menu and different dishes based on the dietary needs as one of our party is a celiac. The service was shocking, the attention to detail left so much to be desired such as no teaspoons, butter and condiments at breakfast. Requested tea and toast and waited 15 minutes for the same staff member to come back and ask can they get us anything without the tea and toast. We had booked a spa treatment consisting of a facial and customized massage which never specified it was a back massage - my mother could not have a back massage and just wanted a head and shoulder massage and facial but due to a language barrier no facial was done. Again we were left waiting to speak to a manager when we spoke about the issue. We informed the staff at checkout of our grievances and they were very eager to fix the issues and offered complimentary spa, dinner and a reduced rate to stay but again we have been left waiting for a response and having to follow up ourselves for over a month. They say they wish to rectify the wrongs but the correspondence since has been a reflection of the stay, disappointing and slow. Would not class this as a 5 star hotel - a very disappointing stay and my mother is going to remember her 60th for all the wrong reasons
Grosszügige Zimmer, sehr schöne Umgebung, top Morgenessen,
Konnten Fenster nicht öffnen
Evening restaurant was lovely, staff very attentive and food was delicious, although it was very expensive.
Where would I start.. Booked this for a nice romantic couple night away, and we rarely ever go away so we were excited to a touch of luxury, based on the impression we got from the website. So disappointed with this place. Sells itself as a 4/5 star hotel? The carpet in our room was so grubby and dirty looking I didn’t feel comfortable walking in my bear feet in the room. No toiletries whatsoever, except for the big bottle of shampoo stuck to the wall. We tried to use the swimming pool facilities snd it was over-run with children and families just absolutely wedged. Could bearly stand in the pool never mind swim! The whole pool area is so grubby and dated looking. I kept thinking I can’t believe we are paying as much as we are for this place for one night! Even as you drive up the drive way, the grass was so long and looked forgotten about. Would I return ? No way, nor recommend.
Lovely helpful staff, beautiful peaceful location
I liked everything, could not find fault with anything
Beautiful interior design and rooms, comfortable beds, and a wide selection at breakfast; the pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, and cold plunges are definite pluses.
However, I am deducting a star due to inconvenient operating hours in swimming pool for children and the ban on children under 16 using the Jacuzzi and sauna. This is only parents responsibility!I am also deducting a star for the noise at night caused by drunken guests returning from the bar, which made it impossible to get a good night's sleep.
This was a beautiful place to stay. Things are really well though out, the rooms are exceptionally comfy and the facilities available are great!
Delicious breakfast, great pool and health center facilities.
Alles war perfekt. Sehr freundliches Personal. Alle waren sehr zuvorkommend. Das Essen im Hugos Restaurant war wirklich sehr fein; wie auch das Frühstück. Grosse Auswahl. Auch der SPA
Bereich hat Spass gemacht.
nichts tu beanstanden
The staff were wonderful.
We got a great welcome from Billie in reception when we arrived and were looked after extremely well in the restaurant and in the bar afterwards.
The pillows were very hard and uncomfortable.
The well presented room and the peace of the area9
