I stayed in a spacious beautifully decorated room in a traditional house at the very heart of Bandipur. An open terrace with the view on the central square where the walking street full of restaurants lead to. A morning at the terrace with a tasty breakfast and coffee is such a great way to start the day!

Cons:

All was great, it may get loud though early in the morning when many people come to the town. Just wake up early with the town)

Beautiful, atmospheric, quaint guesthouse right in the heart of Bandipur.
The low ceilings and rustic feel give this place a special charm, but be careful of bumping your head - I did a few times...
Friendly, helpful owners.
Good value for money.

Cons:

No sink in the bathroom.
The 'perfect location' means that the balcony directly overlooks the main little square where everyone stops to take photos, so expect a little noise from the visiting tourists from around midday until sundown.
Mattress is hard & a bit lumpy.

Historic accommodation in bazaar
Pros:

Historical accommodation with balcony over the bazaar. Quiet from early to 6am. Great eateries and plenty of local trails and village life to explore.
