Pros:

Fabulous location and a lovely little studio above a high end restaurant. Very modern and spotlessly clean with its own private entrance at back of the Inn. Food menu looked lovely, but we didn't need breakfast as had our own kitchen, were out siteseeing at lunchtimes, and unfortunately restaurant was closed in the evenings that we were there. We did get a crab sandwich to take away with us forour journey home which was delicious!

Cons:

The only complaint I have is that there were NO chairs! The studio is not huge but there would be ample space to put a couple of small chairs at the end of the bed, to create a comfortable space for relaxing/drinking coffee/ reading/ watching TV etc. There are 2 high stools but they are uncomfortable and impractical as there is no undercounter space to put your legs. The lack of easy chairs impacted on our ability to relax in the space, but could easily be solved to make this place perfect!

Great location.
Pros:

We had a spacious, clean and stylish room, always nice to have dressing gowns and flannels provided, loved the Bramley toiletries!.
A separate lounge for guests, and a kitchen with very nice coffee and tea, with a simple selection of cereal and toast provided if you didn't want to eat in the restaurant. Parking provided at the property a bonus!

Cons:

Our evening meal was deliciously cooked and beautifully presented, however, a more generous addition of vegetables would have made all the difference (we are not normally big eaters) but came away feeling very hungry.

Topsham's Jewel
Pros:

Last minute booking for one night we were lucky to get a room, the room was fine but what makes this place are the people. All were polite and very efficient, Georgie was particularly good dealing with customers and a busy restaurant and constantly checking around for anybody that needed anything and cleaning up on the way. Worth two to three employees in other places we have stayed!
The food itself was delicious and the fish deli was great.
The restaurant isn't open "all the time" and I think because of this it is able to maintain the quality of chefs and other staff it has.

Cons:

Conveniently placed. Parking a bonus. Friendly staff.
Pros:

Appreciated duvet being replaced by a sheet in the hot weather - would've been useful to be asked about it on first night too. Liked option of making own cup of tea with fresh milk in galley, rather than plastic milk sachets. Also complimentary basic breakfast so we could get out before it got too hot.

Cons:

Nowhere to sit to eat in the galley and only one chair in bedroom, another would've been useful.

Really enjoyable stay in a good hotel in an attractive small town.
Pros:

Lovely big room and bed. Shared kitchen alongside to make breakfast / coffee /tea. Very friendly staff. free parking at back of hotel.

Cons:

It was very hot weather and 1 of the 2 windows could not be opened. But there was a good big fan.
On the main street, so quite a lot of traffic noise which we couldn't reduce by shutting the window overnight because of the heat,

Loved the place - would stay again
Pros:

The staff were lovely, really helpful, service throughout was excellent. Great old building, dining area modern and fresh, good food selection and liked the ‘in house’ fish monger. Bedroom was huge, bedding and towels seems good quality. Overall we were very pleasantly surprised. Originally I had thought it might be a bit expensive but quickly revised that opinion after we arrived and saw what you got for your money. Oh - I forgot to mention well stocked guest kitchen was also a pleasant surprise.

Cons:

Nothing
