Urban Groove Hotel Seomyeon

La primera impresión no fue muy positiva ya que la localización exacta es al lado de una planta de reciclaje y hay varias construcciones alrededor, por lo que desde las 7am hay ruidos. El trato del personal normal, sin mucha implicación.

There was honestly very little to dislike. Everything met or exceeded our expectations.

The cleaning staff threw away my dental retainer, toothbrush and toothpicks. The toothbrush and toothpicks were not so valuable however my dental retainer was $300+AUD. There was very little space around the bathroom sink in our room so I put a small zip-lock bag with the above items on the floor next to the sink, simple because there was no sink. There was no bin nearby this sink. The room had been cleaned previously and there had been no issue with these items being on the floor. However after the 2nd clean these items, which had definitely been there in the morning as I used the toothbrush and put away my retainer, were suddenly gone. What made this situation even worse was that we were out all day and only realised this late into the evening (~9pm) upon return to the hotel. We told the evening receptionist who was very kind and supportive and seemingly did make every attempt on her end to contact the main management/cleaning staff to follow up on my missing retainer. The next morning I nervously went down to the receptionist however they denied that the cleaning staff threw this away, stating they only 'throw away what is in the bins'. They also said they asked every member of their cleaning staff. This seemed logical as the rules of a hotel cleaner however I'm sure that one junior/inexperienced cleaning staff DID throw away my retainer and other items as we searched the room 5+ times with no luck. In the end I left the hotel with no toothbrush, toothpicks and no more dental retainer. I do believe that the management did ask all the cleaning staff but I imagine that the person who threw my items away lied to cover themselves, knowing that all of the rubbish gets thrown away at the end of / morning of each day and that my retainer had already been long fully disposed of and was no longer retrievable.

This event really really sucked and left me feeling quite upset at the stay towards the end.

Location was down a weird side street and major construction works happening opposite which meant early morning noise and not relaxing.
Felt clinical rather than hotel like.
Sold as a room with city views..there was no view full stop the window had blinds closed on entering the room and when you opened the blinds it was a mirror so you saw your own reflection..hated having no view, felt claustrophobic and not what was advertised..there was no view, we were pleased to leave, it felt rather like student accommodation rather than a hotel.
