The Red Carpet Inn on Wyckoff Avenue in Brooklyn is also a contracted to house the unhoused. None of this is detailed in any website. There are no closets, phones, clocks. The rooms are literally holding cells with a bathroom.

Cons:

Accosted by security guard detailed to secure the homeless resident participants. Bring mistaken as a client and treated as a suspect. Constantly being on watch for possible thieving

This place is okay if you’re just looking for a bed. Don’t expect anything else.
Pros:

Thankfully I only needed a place to sleep.

Cons:

My shower didn’t work. I had to wash in the sink. People stood outside my window smoking all night. I smelled cigarette smoke the whole time I was there.
