Excellent staff and location.
Pros:

The staff at the hotel were amazing. A big shout out to Mohammed in reception. Extremely helpful. We couldn’t gave asked for a better location, right in the centre. Beds and pillows were comfortable and hotel was very clean. Excellent value for money.

Cons:

Bed was a little high for a 157cm lady like me. Lots of stairs to climb (no lift) so you must be fit. Not suitable for young children or the disabled.

Ligger lige på stranden og midt i Stone Town. Gode faciliteter. Fantastisk morgenmadsbuffet.

Cons:

Maden er lidt dyr i forhold til andre steder i byen. Der serveres ikke alkohol.

Charming old hotel and good value
Pros:

Location was great. Near old square and on the water.Breakfast was varied. Staff was friendly and helpful. I stayed in both Palace and main hotel. Great old buildings tastefully converted.
My only regret is that i didnt use the swimming pools more.

Cons:

Well there is no alcohol.....but many places nearby.
