Lovely location

Cons:

Paper thin walls, could hear the people talking in their rooms late into the night. Stairway up to the rooms very steep and the step at the bottom is higher than the rest which is rather jarring

Pros:

The room was beautiful, very nice interiors!

Cons:

Trying to get hold of a VAT receipt is difficult if you check out before 9am. Windows were stiff.

Lovely Country pub - but late check in only

It had a cozy vibe and was dog friendly - which is great, and expected from most country pubs :)

The check in was super late (4pm) and the bedroom was cozy, but unusually small.

La déco super cosy, la grande chambre, le pub adorable, le feu de cheminée

Beautiful gem of culinary and atmospheric delight
Pros:

Beautiful period pub restaurant with attention to detail that has been sympathetic to the character of the building. Each area feels unique and beautifully looked after

Cons:

Nothing! Even the restocking of the logs for the fire we could hear in the morning felt just naturally characterful. The team are so thoughtful, professional and made our stay really special

Excellent spot for a little countryside escape.
Pros:

Lovely spot. The staff were so welcoming and the character of the pub is so beautiful. Added bonus how dog friendly they are.

Cons:

We loved the uniqueness of our room (#4). Such tall ceilings and exposed beams. Lovely dinner and just all round relaxing time with a walk around the surrounding fields in the morning.
