Widya Luxury House

This is my second time staying at Widya Luxury House and it was just as wonderful as the first time. It is incredibly central, yet quiet as it is away from the street and backs onto lots of greenery. It is very clean, comfortable, and spacious. Meri and Putu are lovely and they go above and beyond to ensure your stay is exceptional. Thank you for having me again at your beautiful accommodation. I look forward to the next visit and stay :)

I had a wonderful stay and couldn’t be happier with my experience. The place had an amazing atmosphere, making it easy to relax and enjoy every moment. A special thank you to Widya and Marib, who were incredibly helpful, supportive, and genuinely kind throughout my stay. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was comfortable and enjoyable.

What stood out the most was how safe, welcomed, and comfortable I felt from the moment I arrived. Their hospitality and positive energy truly made a difference. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great experience with wonderful people.

Beautiful and convenient

Beautiful, well maintained quiet place. Patio right in the jungle. Exceptionally welcoming and helpful service. I had the opportunity to meet several members of the family. Putu went out of her way to make my stay comfortable.

This homestay was everything that we could have asked for and more for the two nights we stayed. From the convenience of Meri picking us up early in the morning from the airport AND dropping us off at our next hotel afterwards (including two stops at great sites while in transit!), to the delicious breakfasts every morning (believe all the other reviews about the banana pancakes), and the warmth and hospitality from the whole family is reflected in every interaction we had as well as the the beautiful home itself.

The room was extremely clean, the bed and pillows comfortable, and a good amount of space to rummage through luggage. The water pressure in the bathroom was great and they also provided a water dispenser as a tap alternative. The location of the Widya House was also great - walkable to all the main attractions in Ubud center and some great warungs a few steps up and down the street, but not close enough to busy streets to have constant traffic noise.

I loved the location — tucked away from the busy center while still being within walking distance of great coffee shops and restaurants. The bed was firm yet very comfortable, making for a good night’s sleep.

Merry and his family are really kind, and the room is surrounded by trees, which is amazing.
He also helped us book some activities in Ubud, and we really enjoyed them.

I was truly very happy with my stay here. The property has easy access to the main road, just a short 3–4 minute walk away. Despite its central location, it is also very peaceful and relaxing.
The room had a wonderful view, and you could hear the sounds of birds all around. It made you feel completely immersed in a calm, natural, and peaceful environment.
The place was spotlessly clean, and the owners were incredibly kind and attentive. They did everything they could to make sure I was comfortable and satisfied.
I also joined a one-day tour with the owner, and we explored the northern part of Bali. We visited temples and local villages, and it was an amazing experience. He showed me some truly beautiful places—it was an unforgettable journey.
I would like to sincerely thank them for everything. I would definitely choose to stay here again.

Central location, walking distance to the Main Street, clean, friendly owners and value for money

For breakfast I was asked what I would like?They accomodated me with fresh, local, tropical fruits and some natural yoghurt. ( That's what I wanted.) They provided coffee and it was fantastic having a water machine to drink fresh or make a warm drink whenever I felt like it.
My room was cleaned daily and the owners and their entire family went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable, comfortable and relaxing. The aircon worked perfectly and the room was cool.
The family are just so lovely! All happy to chat and smile. I was not bothered and am thankful to have scored a lovely family homestay.
It was only a short walk to the main village and activities.
My room had a balcony that was covered with lush palms and it was very relaxing lying in bed with such a pretty view. The environment was quiet and peaceful.
When I needed transport or help there was always someone avaliable.
I would return , as my week was very comfortable!

Mery and his family are the BEST! So kind and helpful, the room is so luxurious, the location is superb, so close to all the cafes and restaurants but tucked away in its own jungle hideaway, quiet and peaceful at night for sleeping. Will definitely be back! :)

Mery was very knowledgeable and helpful, taking us to see places and people in Bali that we would not have known about otherwise. After a visit to a local priest there were some medicines needing preparation over the next few days and his mother and sister were so kind to prepare this. The room was lovely, spacious and clean and set in a stunning tropical setting.

I almost don’t want to leave, the host Meri is so kind and generous. With just a small problem in the balcony’s ceiling, he gave me a free trip to my next destination, somewhere in Denparsa for the compensation. He did everything I asked, is willing to adjust everything to make me happy and comfortable. Outside of the room is the woods and banana trees, and some animals would come for food, Meri told me they are civets, the famous civets! Though I didn’t really see them(only hear them), Meri showed me some pictures he took and told me they have two kinds with different colors. I also feel the efforts he wants to protect the little animals and the environment around the house. Meri introduced his family members to me, everyone of them serves me and treat me kindly. Though I only stayed there for two days, I was in love with this kind family and Balinese!
