Great location, pity about the hotel
Pros:

The location was just down the road from the train station which is what we wanted. It was close to Dam Square.
The view from our window was good

Cons:

We had to check in at the next door hotel. That's not the bad bit there was no lift and the long flight of stairs was very steep, and carrying your suitcases was not easy. The bad bit was that our hotel, we had to climb two long flights of very steep stairs. The room was small, it was clean and very basic. The beds were not very comfortable and the mattress moved.
Because of the location it was noisy at night. We only stayed the one night and found another hotel for the rest of our stay

Pros:

The location

Cons:

Bed bugs are all over, bitten multiple times. Spoke to receptionist who's very apologetic but the damage has been done. Tourism Amsterdam should inspect them and booking.com and ban them until sorted.

Pros:

A localização é excelente. A parte interna do quarto é muito boa, novo e aparentemente recém reformado.

Cons:

O quarto é bem pequeno. Ficamos no último andar e como não tem elevador, foi um pouco cansativo o subir e descer das escadas.

Quite comfortable for a short stay, especially for a group of young people.
Pros:

Excellent location in the city center. The train station and a shopping street are nearby. Our window faced the courtyard. It was very quiet at night, even though the window was open. Received a discount on breakfast at the café by the hotel entrance as hotel guests.

Cons:

Steep stairs.

Pros:

It was pretty much what you expect from a hotel in Amsterdam - tiny room with space for a bed, a table and, welcome en suite facilities.

Cons:

Not ever going to change, but the lack of lifts and tiny, cramped, labyrinthine stair cases... also lunatics out for a night out in Amsterdam and deciding to howl between 3:30 and 4:30 in the morning would be nice to not have to put up with, but that's hardly the hotel's fault :).
