Cons:

L’hôtel est situé dans un quartier très populaire. La distance de 1,7 km annoncée par rapport au Haram est assez trompeuse, car il n’existe pas de trajet piéton sécurisé. Pour s’y rendre à pied, il faut emprunter d'abord le périphérique qui n'est pas adaptée aux piétons, puis une montée assez difficile, ce qui représente environ 35 40 minutes de marche.

L’hôtel propose toutefois une navette qui vous dépose de l’autre côté de La Mecque (environ 15 minutes de trajet). De là, il faut encore marcher environ 1,3 km, soit une vingtaine de minutes, avec un chemin plus facile mais toujours éloigné du Haram sur le boulevard Ibrahim al khalil.

Le petit-déjeuner est un autre point décevant : il est peu varié, principalement composé de plats salés très épicés et répétitifs. Les choix sucrés sont très limités (des corn flakes sans lait froid et gâteaux type marbré vanille, pain confiture). On est rapidement lasser ; mon mari a d’ailleurs fini par ne plus y aller malgré le fait que le petit-déjeuner était déjà payé.

Le personnel est également un point faible : l’accueil non chaleureux, froids et les services ne sont pas proposés spontanément. Le ménage et le réapprovisionnement de la chambre ne sont pas assurés automatiquement : ils se font uniquement sur demande, et encore, de manière très irrégulière. Ce qui est loin du niveau de service attendu pour un établissement de 3 étoiles.

En revanche, les chambres sont joliment décorées. Cependant, la climatisation est très bruyante et l’isolation phonique insuffisante, au point que j’ai dû dormir avec des bouchons d’oreilles.

L’organisation a également été une grande déception : après seulement deux nuits, on m’a insisté pour changer de chambre sous prétexte que des travaux allaient avoir lieu à l’étage. Aucune réelle explication ni un remerciement d'avoir accepté et finalement aucun signe de travaux constaté.
