Charged for lounge and double room and only received a double room
Pros:

We had been travelling a long way so we booked a king suit with balcony. The photos on booking.com showed this as having a lounge on the ground floor with a bedroom above.
We were charged for the room upon arrival.
When we were shown to the rooms we were given a twin room and a double room. We asked were the sofa and lounge was and they pointed to a chair in the corner of the room. We tried to explain we did not need 4 beds for 2 people but we had paid for a lounge. They did not seem to understand. It was late and we were very tired so we decided to go to sleep and sort it out in the morning.
The next day we showed them the booking.com pictures of the lounge compared to what we received. They did not seem to understand but offered us a better double room. As the 2 rooms were very noisy we moved to the internal double room. We asked for a refund for the difference between the lounge with double room above that we had paid for and the double room we had received.
They refused saying they could not refund us the overpayment as we had booked via booking.com

Cons:

We contacted booking.com regarding the overpayment and asked if they could assist us with getting the refund we were due. They were unable to do so but advised us to put the details in this review so that other guests were not over charged in the same way.
We do not think it is fair that we paid for a lounge with double room above and only received a double room. We would strongly recommend that you see the room and check you are receiving what you booked before you pay for the room.

Fantastic hotel in historic old city

Very comfortable stay and lovely staff
Pros:

A small very comfortable hotel with excellent breakfast in a great location in central historical district Had booked a queen room upstairs but hotel wasn t full so they moved us to king room on ground floor Have stayed here 6 or 7 times in the past and god willing will stay here again Room had kettle to make tea and coffee

I liked everything but would have liked to have option at breakfast for pancake/crepe/waffle but the breakfast offerred was very good

Stay at the Adamas! It's wonderful!
Pros:

We loved our stay at the Adamas house. The facility is beautiful and clean; the breakfast delicious and filling; the location is perfect for walking in the historic area, but most of all the staff is wonderful. Roberto and Tanya were so wonderful to us and we loved meeting them. It always felt like home coming back to the Adamas Hotel! We highly recommend a stay there!

There are different levels of flooring, so watch your step!
