The Goldmine Rooms

This is the worst stay I have ever been to. Poorly maintained. From the entrance you are welcomed by an unswept dusty floor with a rickety washer carelessly placed. The stairs are steep and the rug is dirty and smelly. The kitchen floor, sink and table top were a mess. Couldn't bring myself to use the microwave and kettle. It was so dirty. The toilet faucet was broken, the toilet itself has not been cleaned in ages because there were splashes of 💩that's dried up on it. I couldn't even sit on it. As for the rooms, the bedside lamp had no bulb, the bedsheets and duvet cover were stinking and obviously dirty. The rug was dusty. Had to look for clean sheets and change the bedding myself before i could even sit on the bed. The TV remote had no batteries too. Overall the place has good facilities installed but the owners have just chosen to neglect it like an old hunted house. I felt really unsafe and uncomfortable throughout my stay. If you can, stay away from this place.

Не кто не убирается грязь везде. Грязные полотенца и постельное белье валяются на полу на кухне. Постироное воляется на столе на кухне невозможно поесть за столом. Душ не убирается неделями. Кухня не убирается вообще.

I bit dirty the neighbours left poop in the toilet not flash afterwards, very disgusting. They I was supposed the tv to be fixed but since the they I left the room no solution, I had to entertain with my iPad. The internet was dropping not good internet provider. talk Talk Internet service is bad. They should go for Virgin is the best.
So far so good beside that I had a good staying. But they should invest more

I did not see any member of the staff there. phone that to half an hour before they picked the call.

This accommodation is a 10 minute drive to the airport therefore we decided to book it because we had an early morning flight. Also, there's a kitchen so we could cook a meal.  However,  the place is rather grimy. The kitchen was not that clean but there was some Fairy Liquid so I washed stuff before using it.  No chopping boards, kitchen knives, kitchen roll, sieve but we did boil pasta in a pan. The bathroom was not that clean: the toilet pan had poo skid marks. No toilet roll. Went down to the Co-op - 2 minute walk - to get some.  


We had a 3 person bedroom with towels, tidy warm room. The headboards looked grimy, there was food bits under the duvet in one bed and we didn't bother looking under the other duvet. We put the towels over the pillows and slept fully clothed on the duvets - to be on the safe side. 


The bedroom door had a lock so it felt safe enough. We think this place might be a HMO as it seems someone is living in the rooms, but I don't know. There were no electric sockets in the bedroom so couldn't charge our phones. There were no batteries in the TV remote so we couldn't watch the TV. No hand-wash in the bathroom.  Overall,  the price was economical and close to the airport,  but I wouldn't book again. It is a rather grim place.

Everything. Smelly, landlord didnt respond to the phone, keys were not in the locks, it took us 30 minutes to find out a way to get in, sheets dirty, shower dirty, not hot water.

Unfortunately I found the stairs to be quite narrow and steep. One of the shared bathrooms had no mirror. The room had no wall hooks to hang clothing, and no waste bin.

The room haven’t been cleaned or organised since the last guests left, everything was dirty, no hot water in the showers, poor care to the toilets as well.
I contacted the management through the contact number that was disposed in the booking confirmation, I’ve been told to talk to the people in the restaurant under the room, the restaurant was closed.
To sum up I talked to a guest that was in another room and he showed where to find bed sheets, fitted covers and pillow covers.
I changed everything by myself and stayed for the night.
VERY UNPLEASANT!

The TV plug has been cut off and joined on to another cable to reach the plug then taped up at the join
