Nice area to stay, decent sized room with big bed.
Pros:

Great sized room, and huge bed! Loved Gion and this place was nice and close for the park

Cons:

Hated that the smoking area is in the entrance of the hotel, having to walk through smoke on arrival is terrible, it should be moved. There was a roof top but the lift area on that floor was cluttered with boxes etc and it just felt a bit uninviting, this could be improved.
The bathroom was tiny with low ceiling, felt like you were on a boat
