A beautiful place to stay!
Pros:

The Thousand Hotel was absolutely incredible. From the moment we walked in, the staff was so helpful. They also assisted us in getting transportation to the Osaka airport which was nice. The hotel is beautiful and we admired the inside every time we came back after our daytime adventures. The room was spotless and large. We stayed in the superior king room. We did luggage transfer from our prior hotel, and when we arrived, all of our bags were already in the room! I would love to stay here again. It is also very close to the Kyoto station which was convenient!

Cons:

Nothing! I loved everything about this hotel.

Extremely helpful staff and very comfortable stay.
Pros:

Very modern and artistic hotel! The staff were extremely helpful-particularly Miss Ryo Yoritomi helped us to call local taxi company and found back our camera left in the back seat of the Uber taxi-we were very grateful for her help, not possible without her communicating in Japanese for us!!!

Utmost luxury in the heart of Kyoto

Top Hotel in zentraler Lage von Kyoto
Pros:

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral in Kyoto direkt neben dem Bahnhof. Damit ist es bestens geeignet, wenn man mit dem Shinkansen anreist oder Tagesausflüge mit dem Zug z. Bsp. nach Osaka oder Nara plant.
Wir hatten zwei Zimmer, die erstaunlich viel Raum boten und eines der Zimmer hatte eine kleine Terrasse, so dass man sich am Abend auch mal raussetzen konnte, umgeben von Grünpflanzen.
Extrem zuvorkommendes und hilfsbereites Personal selbst unter Berücksichtigung des ohnehin hohen Standards diesbzgl. in Japan.
Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war ok im Sommer, da Nebensaison und durch Yen-Kurs begünstigt.

Cons:

Das Frühstück war anscheinend angesichts des Gästeschwerpunkts sehr westlich gehalten, wo ich mir etwas mehr asiatischen Einschlag gewünscht hätte, wenn man schon in Japan ist.
