Brilliant comfortable stay, highly recommended
Pros:

Centrally located. Walking distance to train and metro. Exquisitely designed. Big rooms. Enormous bed. Great breakfast. Attentive staff.

Cons:

The only downside was that there was no view. The windows overlooked another building.

Amazing hotel in the heart of Kyoto
Pros:

This hotel is right in the area of the Kyoto tower and train station. It is beautiful. The suite we stayed in was exceptional and worked well for our four-person family (parents and two almost adult children). The fitness room was very well maintained and equipped. Breakfast was delicious and had something for everyone in our group. The staff were very accommodating and welcoming.

Luxury stay close to Kyoto station
Pros:

We really enjoyed the size of the room, the amenities offered and the staff were very helpful and kind.

Cons:

The beds were extremely stiff, and out of the way of everything we wanted to do. However that is more of a personal preference rather than an issue on their part.

Cons:

צריך לשים לב שהמיקום של המלון הוא ממש מול תחנת קיוטו שזה נוח בהרבה מאוד מובנים אבל זה ממש לא המרכז של קיוטו. כן הייתי מעדיפה לקחת מלון במרכז עצמו (למשל באיזור של מלון The Gate) כי שם באמת מרגישים את קיוטו.

The hotel is nice at the good location, but the breakfast was poor

The location was very good, the hotel’s design is very good.

Cons:

The breakfast service was extremely disappointing.
We arrived at 9:40 a.m. Breakfast is served until 10:00 a.m., and guests can remain until 10:30 a.m., so we were well within the stated hours.
A staff member named Kotani was very rude and insisted that the restaurant was completely full, refusing to offer us a table even though nearly half of the restaurant was empty. It felt as though she simply did not want to serve us because it was close to the end of breakfast service.
We eventually did get a table, which made it clear that the restaurant was not actually full. Unfortunately, by then, her attitude had already ruined the entire experience. Even if there had been a valid reason for a delay, it could have been communicated politely. A little courtesy and respect go a long way in the hospitality industry.
