Located in the middle of Galle Fort, great breakfast, friendly staff
One big issue is that there is no proper window in the bathroom, only a wooden one with multiple holes. This meant noise transported easily in and out of the room
When we arrived they told us there was a problem and we would need to go to a different location. The sheets were damp and smelt !

Great accommodation in the centre. Cute courtyard. Large room with all the right amenities. Breakfast was local, cultural and delicious. Kids loved it (12,10).
No mosquito nets and doors not shutting fully - having said that there were not very many around
The staff and service was incredible and really made our stay. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, even arranging transport to our next accommodation.
The building is beautiful and located in such a great spot, walking distance to everything in Galle fort. The breakfast was very yummy and more than enough food.

Wifi speed, no staffs to help at night
What a lovely oasis to start and finish our 3 week holiday in Srilanka! Isha made us feel very welcome. The hotel has just 6 rooms with lovely garden and pool overlooking the lagoon. The rooms are very clean with a great shower in the bathroom. You can just lie in the pool and watch the fish jumping, the herons nesting and listen to the birds overhead. Bliss! We had 2 great evening meals as well as breakfast, as good as any of the restaurants we ate at and better than some! You can arrange boat trips and tuk Tuks to get out and about very easily but we just enjoyed the opportunity to chill.
Isha arranged our pick-up from the airport, it's only a 30 minute trip, Ranga our driver kindly helped us with all our transport so our trip went very smoothly with no worries. It was market day in Negombo when we arrived and it was frantic but as we pulled in to the hotel that all disappeared as we looked out over the calm lagoon.We hope to come back some day and would not hesitate to book again. Amazing value.

My stay at Dutch Bungalow was spectacular. All of the staff were kind, super hospitable and welcoming, and made me feel like a queen.
The breakfasts on both days were beautiful and the room itself was very comfortable.

Fantastic staff, so helpful and kind at every opportunity. Beautiful breakfast spread every morning, absolutely delicious. Clean, spacious, comfortable rooms with AC. Excellent location.
Good location, clean, nice restaurant.
There was no atmosphere (possibly partly because of the war and cancellations) and compared to the 10 other places we’ve stayed on this trip it didn’t feel like good value. We stayed 2 nights and they asked if we needed the room cleaned - we said ok not to clean room but could the bathroom bin be emptied and this wasn’t done plus a couple of other requests didn’t happen.

Great location, very clean and tidy property. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Overall, a very comfortable and pleasant experience — would definitely recommend.
