Air conditioning did not work on the first day of stay. Wondering how this hotel is rated 4 stars.
The morning breakfast is a buffet, which is acceptable but then you find that the Dosas and Omlettes are cooked on the same tawa at the live counter! That’s really very bad.

Pros -
Stayed in a three bed room (no. 220). The room was big. Toilet/bath was also big and clean. The housekeeping staff would clean the room every day making the stay hygienic and comfortable.
The AC was working well and continuously which was a great relief in the heat wave.
The location is good. It's walkable distance from the famous rock beach and other attractions in white town. It has good restaurants within a walking distance. Hotel Surguru is in the next compound and Hotel Aadeshwar is 400 m away.
The terrace has a pool and a good city view.
Overall a good experience.

Cons -
1. I am a frequent traveller and have noticed that all Hotels give 10-15% discount on food and beverages to the in-house guests. It was missing in the restaurant. Hence, we avoided eating in the restaurant.
2. The GST on the food in the restaurant is 18% which is very steep compared to 5% that other restaurants charge. Another reason why we avoided eating in the restaurant.
3. The staff in the restaurant is a little slow and needs training. During breakfast I observed that they were simply standing and would clean the tables after telling them. Also, they are supposed to keep track of the stock of fresh plates, juice, food items etc. They would get fresh plates or refill food items after bringing it to their notice.
4. Key card would automatically get deactivated. We had this issue 5/6 times. After reaching the room again going back to the reception is a pain.

It is a old big building for noicy big groups, never again

I booked 3 double rooms and for the second person I had to pay extra 1500 Rs per night! What a cheating, on booking com, Double room is the same price for one or two person!!!!
