Nice room. Friendly staff. Good pub food.
Breakfast was a bit basic but tasty and well cooked. Just not much choice (no fruit)
Location ideal for our stay.
Comfortable clean rooms.
All staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Friendly and welcoming staff.
Evening meal and breakfast were exceptional
Fire alarm going off early hours, but that isn't the venues fault, some idiot raping in the toilets.
Security were brilliant and let us know almost immediately that we didn't have to vacate
Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and comfy. Location was great. Breakfast was very complete
The location, the friendly staff and the room was spotless and very comfortable.
Unfortunately I was there on a Saturday night, and was made aware that it would be quite load downstairs and outside. The noise was the only issue, however I was provided with earplugs and it was quieter after midnight.
Nice 15th century inn. Staff nice and friendly which made the difference.
Central location, good value for money and friendly staff ,and a good breakfast, plus the happy hour drinks on Saturday evening, great idea
We booked for 7 nights to use as a base to visit the areas along the coast .. staff were lovely and very helpful .. the room was clean and quite comfy .. great breakfast and the two meals we had were good.
We had two bikes that the owner was happy to accommodate for us overnight in a locked area.
It's not an easy place to relax in really but then it is a town centre hotel .. if you stay at weekends be prepared for live bands, discos, karaoke etc., we had an outdoor disco right under our window on Saturday night which was so loud it made the windows shake!
Room and place was nice and clea and comfortable
Was very noisey over night
Excellent 👍
Decorating
We were really happy with our room. Lovely & spacious. And ‘proper’ sized mugs for a cuppa!
Both my husband, myself & our dog were made to feel really welcome by the helpful, friendly staff. Fabulous food, whether it be the breakfast off the menu. Really good quality ingredients.
Council parking at the rear of the property. Only a short walk. Free overnight, so if you get the app it’s really easy to keep topped up for just when you need it.
Nothing really. Noisy at weekends, which some people may not like - but we knew this before we arrived - it is made very clear when booking & it wasn’t a problem for us at all.
Would be nice to see the hanging baskets refreshed & the yard tidied, but this was very minor & didn’t spoil our stay.
MY work colleague id not have breakfast however ate in the restaurant in the evenings food was very good and exceptional on the Friday evening. Large room clean and comfortable.
Loud music at weekends but he had been warned so not a problem for him. Not really a negative as such.
The age and neatness of the building
We were kept awake until midnight by a DJ playing rediculously loud music outside our window in the pub/ hotels garden.
