Great location to amenities
Pros:

Great location, close to the shopping centre only 4 blocks to the esplanade and numerous restaurants and a short walk to the marina from the esplanade.

Cons:

1. Noise from the backpackers hotel across the street at night.
2. The unit lounge chair had no legs on it and was very low to the ground and not very comfortable (springs had gone). When sitting in it my knees were higher than my hips when seated making it hard to get out of and I’m only 168cm.
3. The balcony walls etc were dirty.
4. The unit was pretty dated.

Excellent accommodation close to regional transport depots.
Pros:

It was very close to the railway station & bus station and supermarket. Spacious, modern, clean & secure. Also in the same building as a day surgery facility.

Cons:

For others info, it is some distance from the main restaurant precinct by the harbour- about 20 min walk.
We arrived after hours & there was a kiosk box to check in, but we didn’t know what ‘booking number’ to enter (booking.com’s reference did not work and others trying to arrive at the same time were also having problems as some booked through travel agents etc). Eventually we found it worked with my Australian phone number on record with booking.com.

Pros:

Location was excellent. Directly opposite Cairns Central. The centre of the city.
Free parking.
Lovely, welcoming staff on check in.
Comfortable room. Nice view.
