Dismal digs!
Pros:

We really didn't like this place. It was self check in(door codes). Right beside a casino so there was little parking nearby. We had a SUV towing a trailer so that was difficult. There were pretty unsavoury beggars around. We were hit up about 10 times in half an hour. All in all ...it was dismal.

Didnt like not having face communicate with. Being a older female it was scary with the druggies hanging around and no one there to help if you needed it.I hardly slept because of that.

Don't expect much, but for the price, worth the stay for a night.
Pros:

This hotel was really a 50's? building with a bunch of rooms on the second floor converted into bedrooms. Somewhat disconcerting at first. However, the room itself, although badly in need of a desk and chair (barstool and bar counter only) and a few comfy chairs to watch TV, met my 4 k's standard, clean, comfortable (bed), quiet and convenient (location). It was a relatively large room with a tinyish 3 piece bathroom. There was a dryer type metal pipe going from an a/c unit to a window above the bed. There was a fridge/freezer and micro and coffee maker. The owner, living in Toronto, was very helpful but no staff was evident anywhere. Check yourself in and out with passcodes. So while the building itself was pretty lousy looking, for the price compared with better accomodation, a one night stay was just fine, especially if you are on a modest budget.

Cons:

The room needed some stuff as noted above; and the pipe going out the window above the bed was something else! However, no doubt better having the A/C than none if that layout is the only alternative. Parking might have been a problem as the street it was cornered on was being torn up. Fortunately, someone was pulling out from in front of the hotel around sunset, so found a convenient spot.
