Terrible
Pros:

Location

Cons:

Filthy rooms, stains all over the heavily damaged wallpaper and carpet, dingy old fashioned bathroom, room stank of body odour. Quite possibly the worst hotel I’ve stayed in.

Be aware it's also a homeless hostel
Pros:

Easy access to town centre.
They cancelled my booking at my request after I asked them to.

Cons:

This hotel is also used as a temporary hostel for homeless people. There was a group of youths smoking on the front steps as I arrived. While I was checking in, the receptionist was shouting at a few lads who were climbing over a bar area to get at the items behind the bar. I could smell tobacco smoke, which the receptionist said wasn't possible as they had lots of plug-in air fresheners all along the corridor... Presumably to mask the smell of smoke.
The secure electronic lock for the area solely for paying guests didn't work so everyone had access everywhere.
My shower was scalding hot and the temperature tap was stuck fast.
Worst of all, they issued a room key card to somebody else, who then was trying to get in my room as I was trying to get to sleep.
I couldn't sleep after that, feeling unsafe. I cancelled my booking through booking.com and left the very next morning.

Pros:

I always have a wonderful stay at this hotel! The rooms are always clean, comfortable, and well maintained. What truly makes my stay experience exceptional was the outstanding service from Farjad, Mueez, and Mohammed who work in the reception. They are always welcoming, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. Their kindness and attention to detail makes me feel valued throughout the visit. The hotel is close to hospital abs town centre. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to coming back!

Cons:

Nothing

Pros:

Location

Cons:

Disappointing stay. Bed hard, 1 flat pillow each. Asked for another, they had none left as the hotel was full! Quilt only big enough to lay on the top of the bed but no overhang. Brown splatter of dubious origin down the bedside wall, cobwebs in bedside lamp (& on bookshelf next to us in breakfast room), filthy mould encrusted bath handle, no teaspoon with tea making facility (or in dining room), poor MDF wardrobe which rocked when hanging up clothes, iron, ironing board substitute and trouser press haphazardly cast aside outside bathroom door. Noisy neighbours slamming doors and having loud conversations in the corridor after midnight. Lift out of order, we were on the 2nd floor with luggage. Litter in stairwell. Breakfast was in an annex marked 'staff only' and was actually boarded up from the outside. Juice, tea, coffee, cereals and bread with toasters available. Hot breakfast self serve bain maries not working. Cooked plated hot breakfast delivered to the table without being asked what we wanted. Good sized breakfast - 2 non pork jumbo sausages, 3 turkey rashers, pot of beans, undercooked blubbery fried egg, fried mushrooms & soggy hash brown, all cold & most likely ready plated & reheated in a microwave. Will be returning to the Premier Inn in future.
