The magnificent gardens are the icing on the cake.
Pros:

The breakfast is very complete, and the other meals that we bought at the hotel were quite good. The main feature is the gorgeous garden located behind the hotel, where the secluded pool and tennis courts are located. The gardener is very helpful in showing guests interesting features such as the resident owls and the cool frogs that come out at night.

Cons:

The hotel is a bit older and looks a little worn, but still quite pretty and inviting.

A very pleasant stay - with great outdoor grounds to explore and a comfortable, relaxing ambiance.
Pros:

Great location if you enjoy birding and wildlife as there are well kept grounds that have include a variety of habitats right on site. Good breakfasts and delicious ice-cream can be ordered at the bar.

Cons:

A little far from the Airport and no shuttle service included.

Great stop over in San José, comfortable with great gardens
Pros:

Large rooms, clean, comfy beds, excellent shower. Staff friendly, restaurant was great. Gardens exquisite, plenty of nice birds and flowers. A great one night stop after landing in San José
