Excellent emplacement.
Pros:

Un emplacement incroyable, très calme et à 5 mn à pied de l’entrée pour la grande muraille! Les billets d’entrées sont valables 2 fois, donc on peut faire le coucher de soleil puis y retourner le lendemain.
Le complexe hotelier est très chouette, nous avions nos 2 chambres cote à cote dans une petite cours privative.

Cons:

Les chambres ne semblent pas être bien entretenues. L’hôtel a l’air recent et pourtant, beaucoup de moisissures dans la douche et les wc.
Je trouve dommage que le petit dej inclus soit servi seulement entre 7h et 9h: début trop tard pour aller admirer le lever du soleil et fin trop tôt pour envisager de prendre le petit dej après l’escapade matinale.
Une fin à 11h serait plus appropriée.

Pros:

La posizione é perfetta! A 2 minuti a piedi dal gate!
La struttura é molto bella , le camere pulite e spaziose. C’é un ristorante in cui é possibile fare colazione pranzo e cena

Cons:

Migliorare l’orario della colazione, termina alle 9:00 a mio parere troppo presto.

The location was great for accessing the wall.

Cons:

The staff were not professional, the welcome was very unprofessional. We were asked to pay a deposit for umbrellas which was unbelievable. The staff were scruffy, the restaurant was terrible, damaged furniture, no atmosphere, terrible food and service. I would not go back.

Pros:

The rooms were very nice and spacious, and the property was beautiful. It was a very short walking distance to the entrance of the Great Wall scenic area which was very convenient. The staff was also exceptionally friendly - they served dinner after our arrival even though the restaurant had technically stopped serving dinner before we checked-in, staff helped us organise transport back to Beijing, and was very helpful and friendly throughout our stay.

A great hotel in a superb location.
Pros:

This is a superb hotel in a great location just metres from the entrance to the Great Wall.
The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was great.
The breakfast was just what we wanted.

Excellent location but further nothing special
Pros:

Jinshan Hotel or Jinshanling Great Wall Hotel located at the very end of the Jinshan(ling) Ridge.
200m from the final ticket check, allowing you to get quickly in the Great Wall section.
Hotel was OK.
Location is fantastic, can't sleep closer to the entrance. Went for a sunrise hike (gates open at 04:00 AM) and departed at 3:58 AM to be first at the gate (and wall).
Would recommend to stay, only for its location.

Cons:

Breakfast was Chinese-style, so not ideal for non-Asian tourists.
Room was spacious, but not 100% neat - Some spiders in the corners and still some hairs from former tourists were found in the shower...
