Janik and his mother are very engaging and friendly hosts. The safari organised by them was the best one we went on (we went on 3 in total). The meals were delicious.

Alles war perfekt… Yanik und seine Mutter tun alles, damit man sich wohl fühlt. Es ist kaum in Worte zu fassen wieviel Aufmerksamkeit und Herzlichkeit man geschenkt bekommt, wieviel Mühe sie sich geben, damit dein Aufenthalt wirklich gelungen ist. Es war der beste Ort, an den wir kommen konnten!

Wunderschöne Unterkunft, super nette Gastgeber, leckeres Essen, schöne Zimmer, alles sehr sauber und einfach total herzlich. Wir würden sofort wiederkommen! Die Safari war auch sehr schön und zu einem fairen Preis.

Please stay here at Amba kola! Very nice family, extremely good service. We had 2 sick kids and they were so helpful. The first very good bed during our Sri Lanka trip and nice food. The cooking class by the mother of the house is very nice.
Please Ask for Tharanga to be your driver/ guide in udawalawe, he is very knowledgeable and cares a lot about the elephants.

ALLES! Wir sind viel unterwegs, aber noch nirgends haben wir uns so wohlgefühlt wie bei Janik & seiner Mama! Das Essen ist soooo lecker, der Pool toll zum Abkühlen und die Zimmer groß und sehr sauber. Die Safari war top, wir haben so viele Tiere gesehen und wir haben selten so lecker gegessen, wie nach unserem Kochkurs! 🫶🏼 Für unsere Flitterwochen wurden wir zusätzlich mit Kuchen und einem geschmückten Bett verwöhnt und wir hoffen, dass wir irgendwann zurück kommen können!

Struttura pulita e accogliente, in cui si sta bene. La famiglia che la gestisce è di una gentilezza unica: sorridenti e sempre pronti ad aiutare, ci hanno organizzato il safari e il trasporto fino a Negombo.
Ci torneremmo e ci sentiamo sicuramente di consigliarli!

Die Familie und das Team sind außergewöhnlich hilfsbereit und freundlich.
Das Zimmer war groß und sauber. Die ganze Anlage ist sehr geschmackvoll und der Pool ist auch schön.
Die liebenswerte Mum hat mir mit Medizin, Tee und Suppe geholfen, als ich Magenprobleme bekam.
Wenn ihr Magenprobleme habt, dann hoffentlich bei dieser Unterkunft.

La familia es encantadora, nos trataron súper bien. El sitio es estupendo. Recomiendo el safari, vimos muchos elefantes! La ducha al aire libre es muy guay :)

Amazing hospitality, service, rooms, food & safari. They even went out of the way to drive us around Udawalawe to show us special locations with elephants and fruitbats free of charge! Easiest 10/10 and highly recommended!

Amazing stay at Amba Kola! The food was delicious, the pool was beautiful and we loved both the safari tour and cooking class. The WiFi was also great with Starlink. Lovely staff, peaceful setting and an all-round perfect stay. Highly recommend!

Besonders aufmerksamer Gastgeber, sehr persönliche Betreuung.

Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und die Besitzer waren sehr bemüht und sehr nett. Das Zimmer war äußerst sauber und sehr gemütlich, sogar mit selbst gemachter Seife und Duschgel ausgestattet, welche sehr gut riechen. Das Essen war ebenso hervorragend. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt, danke!

Nous avons passé un séjour absolument inoubliable chez Amba Kola. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été merveilleusement bien accueillis par une famille exceptionnelle, dont la gentillesse, la générosité et la bienveillance ont rendu notre expérience encore plus spéciale.
L’hôtel est magnifique, très propre, moderne et décoré avec beaucoup de goût et le cadre est très calme et apaisant, on s’y sent immédiatement bien. La cuisine est authentique, délicieuse et entièrement faite maison, un vrai plaisir de découvrir les saveurs sri-lankaises préparées avec autant d’amour. L’établissement propose également de nombreuses activités pour découvrir la culture et les environs. Ils nous ont notamment organisé notre safari de A à Z, et tout s’est parfaitement déroulé, une expérience incroyable dont nous garderons un excellent souvenir.
Mais ce qui fait toute la différence chez Amba Kola, ce sont surtout les personnes qui le font vivre. Les échanges, leurs sourires et tous les moments partagés resteront gravés dans nos mémoires.

We had a wonderful stay at Amba Kola! The hosts were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything we needed. They made us feel at home from the moment we arrived.

The room was clean, comfortable, and surrounded by beautiful nature. The food was delicious, and the peaceful atmosphere made it the perfect place to relax after our safari. The hosts also helped us organize everything and gave us great recommendations.
