Amba Kola Udawalawa

El personal era muy acogedor. La cama muy cómoda. Ningún ruido por la noche. Cerca de la puerta del parque nacional de Udawalawe. Piscina limpia y grande. Nos sentimos como en casa.

We had such a wonderful stay at Amba Kola and truly felt at home from the very beginning. The hotel is beautifully designed with so much attention to detail — modern, stylish, and surrounded by a peaceful atmosphere.

Our room was spacious and clean, and we especially loved the outdoor bathroom and the handmade soaps.
The pool area was also perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.

The food was absolutely delicious. Every meal was freshly prepared and full of flavor, and you could really feel the care and passion behind it. One of our highlights was the cooking class, which was such a fantastic and memorable experience.

The host was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. He organized tours for us, gave us great recommendations, and always made sure we had everything we needed. The location close to Udawalawe National Park was also perfect.

Tolles Zimmer, sehr bequemes Bett, schöner Pool und vorallem sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Gastgeber.

Wij werden vriendelijk ontvangen door Jannik en zijn moeder, wat een ontzettend lieve mensen. Ze doen er werkelijk alles aan om je verblijf een succes te maken! Het verblijf is netjes en sfeervol, de kamer comfortabel en het zwembad wel even lekker met de hoge temperaturen. Wij hebben een kookcursus gedaan bij "Sri Lankan Mama", deze dame weet hoe je authentiek Sri Lankaanse curry's maakt een fantastische ervaring! In de ochtend hadden we een safari geboekt via Jannik. We werden netjes optijd opgehaald en hadden een kundige gids mee die ons vanalles kon vertellen over het park en de dieren.

Deze mensen zijn hun beoordelingen dubbel en dwars waard, ik zou Amba Cola Udawalawa aanbevelen voor een verblijf en safari in Udawalawe.

The family that run it were exceptional, so friendly and helpful and welcoming. I had a little sunburn and they brought me fresh aloe Vera from the plant to the room to help.

They were very helpful and the food was great. All cooked fresh. The giant prawns were magnificent and huge!!

The whole aesthetics of the property is so welcoming as well as Janick and is family, clean, friendly and quite modern. They also took us on the safari and to the elephant transit centre, both were amazing and the guides were extremely knowledgeable, highly recommend booking your tours with amba kola and janick

Amazing place to stay. A home from home. The owners are so generous. Safari was arranged by them and great driver/guide. Cooking class by the mother was brilliant.

Bei so vielen guten Rezessionen könnte man skeptisch werden - aber es ist wirklich so, Janik und seine Mama sind der Wahnsinn. So viel Hilfsbereitschaft und echte Freundlichkeit, findet man selten. Von der Begrüßung bis zur Verabschiedung hat einfach alles gepasst. Wir hatten ein Reifenproblem und Janik hat sich für uns sofort um die perfekte Lösung gekümmert. Der Kochkurs war super und die Empfehlung des Amba Estate in Ella ein Volltreffer. Danke für alles!!

The staff were so helpful, the rooms lovely and the food (we had breakfast & dinner) delicious. Location ideal, close to the national park entrance.
I can't recommend Amba Kola highly enough.

Der Aufenthalt hier war das Highlight unserer Sri Lanka-Rundreise. Wir wurden hier nicht nur als Gäste, sondern als Freunde empfangen.

Hier nur einige der Dinge, die bei Amba Kola einfach nur perfekt waren:
- Komfortables Zimmer mit Klimaanlage und coolem "Outdoor-Badezimmer"
- wunderschöner Essbereich mit köstlichen Speisen, Cocktails und ganz viel Liebe
- Safari im Udawalawa (direkt vor der Tür) mit erfahrenem Guide, der uns viel zu den Tieren erzählen konnte
- mega toller Kochkurs mit Herz & Leidenschaft
- Super liebe und gut gepflegte Hunde & Katzen (leider ist das in Sri Lanka nicht selbstverständlich)

Alles in allem ein wundervoller Aufenthalt bei Freunden! Wenn wir könnten, würden wir noch mehr als 10 Sterne geben! Vielen Dank für diese tolle Zeit!

What an amazing hotel. Very clean comfortable room with a lovely outdoor bathroom. The staff here are exceptional, very friendly and helpful. We really felt at home here. All the food we had was freshly prepared and delicious. Highly recommended.

EVERYTHING! The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming, the venue was perfectly situated next to Udawalawa National Park.

We went to the elephant station, a 3hr safari and did an amazing cooking class. I can't recommend this place enough. The pool was an added bonus. The room was spacious and comfortable and food as good as it gets. Especially when you make it yourself.

I would HIGHLY recommend staying at Amba Kola hotel. We were blown away by the incredible hospitality, the staff were so personable and caring - they made amazing effort for our anniversary to feel special with personal touches. The room was comfortable and clean, the pool was clean and nice. We tried their award winning cooking class which was informative and delicious. The Hotel is very close to the Udawalawe national park entrance and the hotel provides a great safari. We can’t recommend this hotel enough!

This place is fabulous. The cooking class, the safari and the outdoor bathroom were the highlights.
