Perfect place to get our holiday started
Pros:

If you look for a home stay kind of feeling with basic, clean cottages, then look no further! The Cottage Negombo is located in a peaceful part of the city and it feels like you’re in the middle of the jungle here. The owner and staff make you feel at home and go out of their way to ensure you have the best experience. The chef is excellent and the property looks exactly like the pictures.

Cons:

We enjoyed everything. Don’t go here if you expect a 5-star resort. Do go here if you want to feel welcome in a very comfortable and clean home stay with excellent food.

Heerlijke plek voor een paar dagen negombo
Pros:

Very good and quite location, very clean and cozy cottages around the swimmingpool. Superb breakfast. Ultra friendly host, providing good information and support in booking tuktuk, traditional massage and bird safari.

Pros:

La proximité à côté de l’aéroport ( 40 minutes)
Les cottages sont magnifiques autour du piscine et d’un beau jardin ombragé .
Vous pouvez manger au restaurant le midi comme le soir
Nous n’avons pas dormi sur place car nous y avons juste passé l’après-midi pour se relaxer et pendre une bonne douche avant de reprendre l’avion le soir.

Ne pas y avoir dormir .

We chose to spend the last few days of our holiday in Sri Lanka here, and it was the perfect decision. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and surrounded by lush greenery, creating a true oasis where you can relax and unwind. The swimming pool is excellent and was one of our favorite features of the hotel.
The breakfast was good, and the staff were exceptionally attentive and always ready to help with anything we needed throughout our stay. Their kindness and hospitality made our experience even more enjoyable.
After exploring the town, I realized that I could not have made a better choice when it came to accommodation. Many other areas were noisy and crowded, while here we found the peace and comfort we were looking for. Everything was perfect, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing stay. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Lovely place to say after a long flight! ✈️
Pros:

My partner and I stayed here as the first stop on our month-long trip around Sri Lanka after landing in Bandaranaike Airport. The room was very clean, had a beautifully rustic design, and felt very homely. The pool was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The staff were extremely hospitable and friendly, and they ensured that the hotel grounds were constantly well looked after.

Cons:

Unfortunately, during our stay, the chef was unavailable/unwell, which meant we were unable to experience the authentic Sri Lankan breakfast and cuisine that had been advertised by the hotel and mentioned in other reviews. Instead, we received only roti and dhal on our first day, and on the remaining days we were served a basic Western-style breakfast consisting of sausage, scrambled eggs, and toast. This was a disappointing aspect of what was otherwise an overall great experience.

FYI, it is about a 40-minute walk to Brown’s Beach, so taking a tuk-tuk is recommended, especially during the day when temperatures are at their highest.

Absolute aanrader!
Pros:

Prachtig rustig stukje in Negombo met een heerlijk zwembad. De host is echt supervriendelijk en behulpzaam en heeft veel met onze zoon Coos gespeeld.

Cons:

Niet mogelijk om ramen open te zetten (of je moet muggen binnen willen hebben)

Pros:

Entspannte und grüne Oase nur ein paar Minuten mit dem TukTuk von der Hauptstraße Negombos entfernt. Freundliches Personal und leckeres Frühstück. Der Pool lädt ein zum entspannen. Wir wurden selbst morgens um 1 Uhr herzlich empfangen.

Schon bei der Ankunft wurden wir sehr freundlich begrüßt, und das Personal war während des gesamten Aufenthalts unglaublich hilfsbereit – immer mit Tipps für Unternehmungen oder bei der Organisation von Transporten zur Stelle.

Die Anlage ist schön und sehr gepflegt, mit einem angenehmen Pool, der ideal zum Entspannen ist.
Die kleinen Hütten sind gemütlich, sauber und gut ausgestattet. Die Klimaanlage funktioniert einwandfrei und ein Kühlschrank im Zimmer sorgt für zusätzlichen Komfort.

Das Essen vor Ort war in Ordnung.

Insgesamt ein angenehmer, entspannter Aufenthalt mit tollem Service und einer Anlage, in der man sich wohlfühlt.

Cons:

Im Bad gab es Kakerlaken – sowohl lebendig als auch tot. Durch ein Loch im Fenstergitter konnten sie offenbar leicht hereinkommen, was unbedingt behoben werden sollte.
Das Bett war leider nicht gut: Die Matratze war auf einer Seite so stark abgesunken/gekippt, dass man fast von der schiefen Fläche heruntergerutscht ist.
Zudem hatte die Hütte einen muffigen Geruch, was den Wohlfühlfaktor etwas gemindert hat.
Einen Zimmerservice gab es nicht – für zwei Nächte war das für uns in Ordnung.

Alles vooral de hotelmanager niets was voor hem te veel.Hotel legt aan de rivier en je kan bij het hotel de ex ursie boeken.Naar Negombo kan je met de tuk tuk alles top geregeld.

Heerlijk verblijf
Pros:

Toen wij binnenkwamen bij aankomst werden wij gelijk vriendelijk gegroet en ontvangen door de manager en het rest van het personeel. Die hebben ons ook voor het rest van het verblijf continu goed verzorgd en vooral de manager stond altijd voor je klaar als je iets nodig had, of iets wilde vragen.
Het verblijf was prettig en ruim opgezet en alles was goed schoon en perfect naar wens.
De kamers waren ook erg ruim, met een goede airco, een prima bed met als bonus een super goed mosquito net. De badkamer was ook zeker naar wens en schoon.
Elke ochtend heerlijk kunnen ontbijten, en je hebt de hele dag door ook goed bereik.
Daarnaast ook bij het verblijf een erg leuke boot safari gedaan waarin we heel veel verschillende soorten vogels en dieren hebben gezien.
Ook is alles goed verlicht, en waren de eettentjes/barretjes in de buurt erg naar wens.
Accommodatie is zeker een aanrader!

Alles was zeer naar wens.
