Central location and good choice for breakfast

Great location near the river and tram stop to go to the beach. Good breakfast. The beds are comfy and the rooms quiet.

La localisation au centre du pittoresque quartier historique, la gentillesse et les recommandations du personnel d'accueil, l'excellent petit déjeuner, les pâtisseries et boissons chaudes à disposition près de la réception toute la journée. Beaucoup de très bons restaurants tout autour.

Breakfast was simple but delicious, marvelous pastries and excellent fresh fruit. The staff was helpful, friendly and professional. Location was perfect, a lively and fun neighborhood, walkable to almost everywhere.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the hotel. The location was right next to the river on a relatively quiet street/alleyway. It was easy walk to the various sites and central district. The staff were very helpful and breakfast was wonderful.

O Ribeira Douro não é um hotel convencional. Hospedar-se nesse cantinho especial do Porto é uma experiência para guardar com muito carinho, com uma vontade enorme de voltar. O hotel possui poucos quartos e isso permite que o atendimento seja tão personalizado, que nos sentimos entre amigos. Cada detalhe é feito com muito capricho. Desde os petiscos e cafés, disponíveis a qualquer hora do dia ou da noite, sem custos adicionais, passando pela qualidade dos lençóis, da cama, do café da manhã, onde absolutamente tudo que foi servido estava delicioso. A localização é perfeita, quase às margens do Douro e perto da parte mais badalada da cidade. Mas atenção porque a rua onde fica o hotel tem acesso restrito a poucos carros. De toda sorte, a caminhada do ponto mais próximo na rua livre não chega a cem metros. Tudo bem que o preço não é dos mais baratos. A cidade do Porto é um destino turístico incrível, o que se refleto nos preços. Mas vale muito a pena a escolha.

I had an excellent stay at Ribeira Douro Hotel. The location is fantastic, less than a block from the river and the main promenade, making it very easy to explore Porto’s beautiful Ribeira area on foot.

The staff was wonderful and very welcoming; we were greeted with a glass of port wine, which was such a lovely touch. The rooms are modern and comfortable, despite the hotel’s simple exterior. I’m sure there are rooms with a view, although mine faced an internal open area rather than the river.

The buffet breakfast was excellent, with a great selection and quality. One thing to note is that cars are not allowed to enter the hotel’s street, but you can be dropped off very close by, and it’s less than half a block to walk.

Overall, a wonderful stay, and I would happily recommend it.

The rooms, breakfasts, the coffee machine & water available 24 hrs, location and the staff.

The location was perfect very close to the river front but at night you couldn't hear anything. The hotel room was spotless and the breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. The staff are extremely attentive and made the stay perfect.
