Absolutely a vibe here! Loved the nature around and the friendly staff. The rooms were cool and comfortable. Loved it here
Nice resort only 15 minutes away from the airport. Staff are kind and readily available. The pool area is great.
We stayed at the top cottage and had some issues with the wildlife. On our first day some rodent (probably a squirrel) entered the room and left some small faeces spread around the room. On the next day, it managed to eat into our backpack searching for a banana inside, leaving our backpack destroyed in the process… we would recommend sealing the room properly from the outside to avoid this kind of issues.

le personnel a été très bruyant toute la nuit depuis la chambre du dessus (appels personnels, prières, vidéos sur les réseaux sociaux) et nous a empêché de dormir. Après être monté demander le silence, le bruit a tout de meme repris, et ca toute la nuit. Lorsque nous avons signalé le problème à l'accueil le lendemain matin, la dame a la reception ne l'a pas pris au sérieux.
location was good, pool is clean and the restaurant is near the pool giving a nice vibe. we stayed at the tree house and it was great.
food is too pricy for less portion. we couldn.t enjoy the outside balcony because of too much mosquitos. even when swimming no one can sit around the pool in the evening because too much mosquitos
Die Bungalow Anlage ist sehr schön gestaltet, das Personal sehr freundlich. Wir waren die einzigen Gäste und die Küche hat fürs Abendessen extra für uns geöffnet. Der Transfer zum Flughafen war bereits im Preis inklusiv und wurde vom Personal super organisiert. Herzlichen Dank - wir kommen gerne wieder.

Unsere zwei Nächte im Steps Garden Resort waren wirklich toll. Bereits bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir an der Rezeption sehr herzlich empfangen. Alle Mitarbeitenden waren unglaublich freundlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit, sodass wir uns von Anfang an sehr wohl und willkommen gefühlt haben.
Unsere Hütte war gemütlich und schön eingerichtet und die ruhige Umgebung hat uns besonders gut gefallen. Nach einem Tag in Negombo konnten wir uns wunderbar am Pool erholen. Die Unterkunft liegt etwas ausserhalb und dadurch angenehm ruhig, trotzdem ist man schnell in der Stadt. Als wir ein Tuk-Tuk benötigten, wurde uns direkt eines organisiert und wir wurden kurze Zeit später abgeholt.
Auch das Essen hat uns begeistert. Sowohl das Abendessen als auch das Frühstück waren sehr lecker. Besonders in Erinnerung bleiben uns dabei auch die herzliche Bedienung und der Koch, die beide sehr aufmerksam waren.
Insgesamt haben wir unsere Zeit im Steps Garden Resort sehr genossen. Die Kombination aus der ruhigen Lage, dem schönen Pool, dem guten Essen und vor allem den herzlichen Menschen hat unseren Aufenthalt besonders gemacht.
Wir können die Unterkunft wirklich jedem empfehlen – egal ob Familien, Alleinreisenden oder Backpackern. Nochmals vielen Dank an das gesamte Steps Garden Resort Team für die schöne Zeit. Wir haben uns bei euch rundum wohl und willkommen gefühlt!

Als erste Station ein guter Einstieg in unsere Sri Lanka-Rundreise. Die Kinder liebten den Pool und die vielen Tiere, die Ihnen begegneten.
Das Personal war sehr freundlich und bemüht.
Das Kartenlesegerät funktionierte nicht. Das war ein ziemlicher Stressfaktor beim Versuch zu Bezahlen.
Het personeel is enorm vriendelijk, het zwembad is erg fijn.
Je kon niet echt warm douchen, het was eerder lauw water. Ontbijt was niet ons ding, maar dat is natuurlijk persoonlijk. Het is wel typisch sri lankaans. Dus misschien wel heel leuk voor de ervaring.

The staff was very welcoming and helpful, but other than that we had a disappointing experience
I had booked the tree house - now I know that a tree house is surrounded by nature but the photos posted here showed it was made of concrete. However, those seemed to have been the cabanas only and our tree house was made of wooden panels which had holes inside. We were not able to sleep as there was a lot of different inserts inside the room and in the washroom. In addition, there was a lot of noise coming from the roof - there were squirrels jumping and playing. It was so loud we could not sleep.
My other issue was the fact that I they had advertised free pick up from airport which I was later told is not included in my package. They also told me on WhatsApp that I can get a sim from them, but the staff was not aware at all and said it’s not available.
