Na
Everything was fine
I had a horrible time. The building was locked. It took over an hour to get in
Lots of problems with faulty access gate. They asked for ID by email expressly against booking.com advice
I have made full verbal complaint by phone yo booking.com and had no response back. I want a refund of £132 from you or them.
Listen to my complaint made on Friday 17th by phone
Excellent room, very modern and clean, good location and perfect in every way
Nothing
Ver comfy bed and very clean as spacesh very good value for money defnetly be back
The location was the only thing that this property had going for it
Booked the property and had messages through Booking.com that looked like a scam, asking me to submit ID and sign a rental agreement (for one night's stay). The message said this for a more 'personalised stay'
As the language and external links didn't fill me with any confidence, we went to the property to book in, but found it deserted. I submitted a message through the booking.com app and somebody rang me back. They were from a property company and not on site. No staff were on site at all. They refused to give me any codes unless I filled in the form they sent. I really didn't want to do this, especially after we met a couple coming out of the property who clearly weren't impressed. They asked if we were staying there and said good luck, you will need it. They had had difficulty getting in and out of the property.
The listing looks like the pub is open and staff are on site, but the pub is closed and boarded up. There are no staff on site either. I don't believe all the good reviews on the booking.com website. The genuine reviews all seem to be staying that the property is dirty and difficult to access with 3 codes needed.
We decided the place was just so completely different to the listing on Booking.com that we gave up and found somewhere else to stay.. Tried to get a refund but property company declined. Further action will be taken as we believe this listing is misrepresented on Booking.com
Clean, bright, spacious room. Wifi worked well. Shower warm & powerful. Central Town location.
The check-in/access process was robotic. Three codes to get into room.
Noisy.
Minimal effort with toiletries, towels & tea/coffee - absolute minimum.
I thought as this room was above a pub there would be staff to check me in (solo female traveller) but the pub was closed up & not a soul about. Quiet scarey. Then 3 x key codes to enter in the dark to get in.
I didnt like that & for that reason won't use again.
Also advertised with parking but all parking nearby has to be paid for in public car parks - just for info...
The location for anything central Wakefield is perfect car park is 100 yards away and 2 minutes from train station clean and comfortable
You’re unable to control the temperature of your room
Very nice place great staff so helpful definitely stay again
Everything
Everything was nice clean and tidy and the member of staff were absolutely brilliant and helpful
Nothing to write on this bit
Great location, close to centre and quiet
Dirty carpets, hallways smelled, no cups/glasses in room -though they were delivered when we contacted the staff, stains on bedding, towels smelled
Comfy Bed
Very basic, expected more for £80 room only.
We were greeted by a lass who was lovely, she explained about the 3 codes you need, 1 for the gate, another for the door and another for your door (very ott) , first impressions, the place needs a proper clean, the carpet on the stairs hasn't seen a vacuum in a while. The room.. Bedding clean but creased and unironed, carpet last seen a vacuum when the stairs did, no bin to put any rubbish, towels looked clean but smelt fusty, one positive bed was comfy.
I liked the room. As soon as I booked it, I received a text from them asking for my expected time of arrival and instructions on how to enter.
The various key codes needed to get in, but that's just a necessity.
Really nice room. Great size. Clean and attractive. Very comfortable. Central.
Bathmat needed! So many codes to get in after 10pm is stress-inducing. Bathroom door hanging, insecure and no way of locking. Heating not controllable.
Glass tumbler and shelf above sink /somewhere to place toilet bag.
Big spacious room and very comfy bed, easy to get into central Wakefield and they were very informative ahead of our stay.
They may have been short staffed but unfortunately when we arrived there was no toilet roll, towels or available bin in the toilet or bedroom. They were quick to resolve the issues. Unfortunately, both bathroom and bedroom had clearly not been thoroughly - the wardrobe was sticky, and there was obvious dirt/ dust.
