Very nice location, beautiful garden ,peaceful, quiet .Historical building.
Beware of menu pricing.Nice food but Price system on the menu I found confusing and I end up paying very high price.
Situation et environnement géographique très agréables
La restauration.
Beautiful place and area
Très beau domaine
Acceuil chaleureux
Authenticité des chambres
Le moulin, le restaurant extérieur
Accès au spa au château, grande piscine
Bonne connexion wifi
When we arrived Lola the reception staff was very helpful as the room we had been given was not suitable for my dogs, she went above and beyond to help us find another one. Our evening meal was excellent and the wine list and cocktail list were splendid.
When we went down for breakfast, we left our pets in the room as we were not going to be long as we were departing. However, with lots of activity in the hallway outside the room, one of our dogs was barking every time someone passed by. There was a family with children next to us, so lots of noise. The new reception staff member came and told use that the dog was barking and it was not happy in the room. We didn't know what to do as it wasn't a problem the night before; through dinner it was just because there was lots of people noise at breakfast time. (9.45 am) He said he had to take care of the other guests, so I left my breakfast and returned to the room. It made the end of our stay very distasteful. The dog was not barking loudly, and he settled after a few minutes, but I still returned to the room because I did not want to cause a problem. He did remove the charge for my breakfast from the bill, but it was very embarrassing to be called out of the breakfast room in front of all the other guests, and as soon as I got to the bottom of the stairs, he stopped. But I was made to feel unwelcome. We would not stay again.
Beautiful old building in lovely parkland. Large airy room.
Helpful reception staff (and a fabulous dog)
Nice swimming pool.
The bathroom only had a handheld shower in the bath, perfect for my husband who likes to bathe but not great for me who prefers a shower.
The food in the restaurant was dressed up as haute cuisine but actually was fairly average. The manager had a miserable face/attitude and wasn’t very helpful re choosing wine etc.
The reception staff were pleasant but could have (for instance) informed us that breakfast could be had on the chateau’s terrace on the weekend. (The domaine is split between the chateau and the water mill, meals are usually taken down the hill at the water mill)
