Great location, the pool was lovely but needs updating, a lot of missing tiles. Staff very helpful and friendly
We loved it here! The view from the pool area (and luckily from our room too as we booked the superior room overlooking the pool) is spectacular, especially during sunset. It’s clear why it’s called Sunset beach resort! Our room was spacious and comfortable. Pool was lovely and a good temperature. Snorkelling right off the hotel steps was brilliant, so quiet and calm away from the crowds and we spent ages just watching a turtle who was exploring right next to us! Staff lovely, they even invited hotel guests to join in a buffet dinner one night as there was a town fiesta going on! They also sorted our transfer for us.
The only minor thing would be the bathroom in our room was a little dated and could do with an upgrade, just in terms of aesthetics.
Location was the best! Nice pool. Staff is very accommodating and personal. They can arrange tours and transfers for you. Super responsive. I even was able to Wise transfer money to the hostess while there so I didn’t have to carry as much cash. Sardine ball/run accessible right off the resort. Just snorkel down to Chili Bar and walk back. Shops, restaurants, and spas all walkable distance. Snorkel, mask and fin rentals everywhere for reasonable prices. Not much street noise as it is down a 2 minute walk from the main drag. Good hot water, water pressure is good too. Not sure why other reviewers said differently. The heater is high above the shower head and you can adjust the temperature. It can get so hot if turned all the way up it would burn you! Air con is excellent.
No complaints! Be aware no food available at the resort but restaurants are very close by. We had a balcony but the door was broken so unable to use it. It was so hot outside though probably didn’t need to in May.

The location was excellent close to the main strip. But far enough away from the noise. You can swim right off the steps and can see turtles and sardines I did. The ride arrangements they made from airport was top notch and reasonable.
Water pressure a little low. This is very minor and won’t stop me from coming back.
El hotel parece ser la única opción intermedia en una una ciudad donde abundan las guesthouses de bajo precio y los hoteles de alto precio.
Nos alojamos en Semana Santa por lo que la mayoría de los huéspedes parecían familiares del hotel, lo cual nos resultó agradable.
Está bien ubicado frente al mar y cerca del centro y tiene una piscina muy linda.
La habitación tiene buen tamaño y resultó cómoda.
Nos consiguieron un traslado desde Oslob, aunque no lo recomiendo para nada.
La habitación estaba en el fondo, junto a las instalaciones de mantenimiento, y la ventana da a un pasillo donde cuelgan la ropa, por lo que no hay vista ni privacidad y debe mantenerse cerrada la ventana todo el tiempo. No hay lugares donde apoyar cosas ni enchufes disponibles. Al regresar de un paseo la puerta se encontraba abierta.

La habitación no tiene un inodoro funcional, no se puede "depositar" ningún sólido porque se tapa. Cuando llegamos hice del uno y ahí quedó. Metí la sopapa un rato largo y nada. Cargué un balde y le tiré agua pero siguió rebalsando y salió papel higiénico de algún usuario anterior. Hay un enorme cartel que dice que no hay presión de agua. Luego de una hora me rendí y les pedí que lo destaparan. Cuando volví no solo no se disculparon por el incidente, ni por no haberme dado una habitación sin la comodidad más básica y humana de tener un inodoro, si no que me acusaron de tirar un pañuelo! Les dije que no uso pañuelo y si lo hiciera no lo tiraría a un inodoro con tantos carteles advirtiendo que el inodoro no sirve para nada, pero al señor no le importó en absoluto y siguió ofendido. Si hubiera podido conseguir una habitación en cualquier otro hotel o guesthouse en ese momento, me hubiera ido, no se puede vivir con un inodoro que hay que perder media hora con balde y sopapa para eliminar líquidos y que hay que ir a un restaurante si se necesita hacer del dos. Por suerte ustedes pueden evitarse todo este asco y reservar en otro hotel, alguno con comodidades del siglo XX al menos, no de la edad media como este.

Not flexible in checkin times. Disappointed as we travelled for 4 hours to get there and couldn't checkin an hour earlier.
Had no water for a few hours.
Had to hire snorkelling gear.
Rooms didn't get cleaned daily.
We loved the staff and location. Rooms and pool are slightly run down but we still loved our stay and it didn’t matter so much to us!
Great location and staff were friendly
Some noise from construction. But it was fine.
The staff and owner were always happy to see us and talk to us about our stay. Always trying to help in anyway they could. Hotel is close to the main food and shop area which was a bonus. We would recommend as it was a good location and good value for money.
The fitted sheet on our bed would not stay on. A minor thing in the scheme of things.
Good location in front of of the sea with the reef just metres away. Short walk to the restaurants and shops but quiet.
The pool area was a bit cramped
I wish i would‘ve stayed longer, absolutely loved it. Staff was super friendly, was able to do my laundry there, in 3min. by walk you‘re in the center, the terrace is gorg and you can sleep in the room because it‘s not loud as the most one i‘ve been in so far.
