Nice place but due to last orders at 9-30pm we wouldn’t return
Cons:

Hanging rail in bedroom above drinks station, only one comfy chair in a double room

Beautiful setting
Pros:

The surrounding area is beautiful, staff very helpful with a friendly persona. Room average compared to other bed and breakfast at a similar price bracket. Good breakfast but instant coffee, no latte or cappuccino options. Expect a little more for the money.

Cons:

Although very clean the rooms are very dated. Very squeaky floor boards which isn't ideal when trying not to wake my partner. Window latch broken, it actually came off in my hand when I opened the window. I think a little work is required to bring it upto date a little.

Cons:

Surfaces were dusty and the entrance got the dinning room seemed to be a storage room.

Place full of potential but lacks the care needed
Pros:

The food in the restaurant is good and the location is perfect

Cons:

Reception was empty on arrival - having found the receptionist, our welcome was very grumpy. Staff in the restaurant made multiple mistakes, my wine was taken to the wrong table, wrong sizes of drinks were delivered. The fire alarm went off early morning and no apology was made to customers.
There is no flexibility to breakfast, you have to order a time slot and what you want to eat. Then when you are in the restaurant, apart from a hot drink, you have nothing until your food arrives. You can make your own toast but you don’t really want that when you are waiting for a full plate.
It’s a shame - with training and motivation, this could be a good place.

A pleasant stay would stay again.
Pros:

Lovely hotel s hame they do not have a comfortable lounge to relax in after a long day, there is a room to do this if they had a mind to instead of sitting in a bar. The outside area was adequate but more quality seating wouldn’t go amiss. Overall a nice place to stay good food excellent staff nothing to much trouble for them. Very nice torches, welcome pack, a nip of brandy at bedtime, good toiletries eg shampoo body wash etc.

Cons:

Seating outside. A lounge to relax in. Overall in need of a little facelift,

Lovely over night stay near Bakewell

Enjoyed our stay and the staff were very helpful but did feel a few tweaks to the hotel would enhanc
Pros:

Evening meals very good and outside patio appreciated in the hot weather

Cons:

Breakfasts were okay but the self-service buffet left a bit to be desired as no cereals or fruit on offer. There was toast and fruit juices, coffees and teas. Also only streaky bacon with the full English.

Lloc acollidor, però amb petits detalls a millorar
Pros:

És un lloc petit, però cuidat. També té restaurant i pàrquing.
L'esmorzar molt variat i bo.

Cons:

Lovely location, nice pub, breakfast was ok, but room very old fashioned and smelly hallways. Expensive for what it was.
Pros:

Location is amazing and staff super friendly

Cons:

Room was pokey and tired, lobby outside room absolutely stunk. Smelled like old hoover bags and was horrible.

Pros:

The room was very comfortable and an excellent size. The bathroom was very good too. Good shower and toiletries. However the noise from other rooms on one of the nights kept me awake. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Cons:

My partner's cooked breakfast was good but the coffee from the urn was undrinkable. There was only one option if you didn't have a cooked breakfast - granola, yoghurt and fruit. There was no choice of other cereals. I also didn't like having to choose an exact time for breakfast as well as what I was going to eat the night before. The first breakfast was slow coming despite arriving in our time slot. My overall feeling was that the hotel was very expensive for what it provided.

Though the stay was comfortable, I thought the food was overpriced (£13 for a club sandwich!)
Pros:

Pleasant dining environment and room.

Cons:

Resented the way, just as I was enjoying a one-to-one drink with a mate of mine from school, whom I hadn't met for 40+ years, we were told the till had closed (at 10pm) and, shortly afterwards, the bar was closing.

Pros:

Locality, super friendly staff, amazing food, very welcoming.

Cons:

The hot drinks at breakfast were not hot they were tepid and not enjoyable, whether I had wires crossed a thought a doggy bag was to be put in the room for our fur baby.
