Perfect location , great staff, great facility, just a bad room location for us

Mixed feelings. Nice hotel but noise factor so disappointing.
Pros:

Didn’t like: Very noisy on the street side. Had a corner room,402, and the traffic noise was extremely loud. It occurred constantly. At times you couldn’t even hear the TV or someone talking. Large truck noise, cars racing, cars playing loud music was horrible. Very disappointing. No way to lessen the loud noise , day or night. I am a Hilton member and have always been satisfied with my Hilton stays. This was very disappointing even though overall the hotel was nice. I would like some compensation for this disappointing situation.

Cons:

See my comments under what I liked . Put them in the wrong box.
Also in room 492 the darkening shade on the street side didn’t go down. Very light in the room at night from the street lights.
Cookies were great.

Pros:

I loved everything, our ac unit was not working and we informed the front desk they had maintenance there within 10minutes. They checked it out and chose to replace the whole thing. It was completed within 45 minutes. Hands down amazing staff. They were on top of making our stay comfortable!
We had an amazing view!

It was a comfortable and relaxing stay.
Pros:

It is in the historical district - close to the church we attended and to shopping and the waterfront. It was comfortable. We always choose to stay at the Doubletree Historical District when in Savannah.

Cons:

I really liked the property, but next time we will request the city view.

The shops and entertainment were walking distance

Cons:

The $53 charge to park your vehicle at the hotel which is already part or built with the hotel...you have to pay for everything except air..break was $18 for buffet or a plate was at least $10 and up....not sure why these comments matter, nothing will change!!

The room accommodations were satisfactory

Cons:

I booked a room with the spa bath for my wife to enjoy in case she did not get to use the hot tub. When I turned on the jets for the spa tub, black particles came out of the jets. Either rust from the pipes or black mold that had formed from not being used. So instead of my wife did not get to enjoy relaxing in the spa tub as planned. I also observed the paint on the shower ceiling peeling. Most likely caused by steam from the shower.

Enjoyed Savannah! Nice city.
Pros:

Did not care for the breakfast. Oatmeal was dry and thick so I didn't eat any. Eggs were dry. Doughnut was just ok. Front desk was helpful when our toilet clogged twice..

Cons:

Toilet didn't flush well. Bed was kind of soft and lumpy.

Pros:

De locatie was perfect. Savannah is een prachtige stad. Bijna alles is in walking distance.
Ons welkom was super vriendelijk, echt Southern Hospitality
En zoals bij alle Doubletrees, werd ons een super heerlijke chocolate cookie aangeboden bij check in.
Alleen daarom al wil je bij de Doubletree verblijven ;-)

Wallet parking at $48 is pricey! Was glad I checked that Orion and used an underground lot on Whatly...2 blocks away for $20 nightly.
I asked for quiet room. Bay street is VERY noisy with truck traffic starting at 4:30 am..

Valet parking at 50 bucks a day that was never mentioned to us until we arrived for stay.
