The staff went above and beyond to make our stay lovely. The decor is gorgeous and the breakfast was perfect. We will definitely stay there again The next time we're in the area.
My only complaint would be the train whistle at 5:30am but my guess that is unavoidable everywhere is that area. I do have to say that sounds machines were provided in our room to drown out the noise.
The house is beautiful. They do a lot of weddings there and I can see why. Its really special. I loved how useable the downstairs areas are. Breakfast is simple but tasty every day. And the bartenders who come from 3-9 pm are wonderful and make great drinks. There is dinner available and you can have food to your room but we didn't use this service. Its very well located to a ton of walkable restaurants and parks. The neighborhood is gorgeous
In our room the shower and the toilet were together in one open, very close space. I am told the other rooms have it slightly more spread out. But for us this was a little uncomfortable but not so uncomfortable that we wouldn't go back. We would. I just might request a different room.

It’s beautiful with an interesting history. Well run, great staff, good breakfast, fun Happy Hour. A nice, quiet sleep.
My wife and I absolutely loved our visit. This will be our new location to stay at. The house is so beautiful and the continental breakfast was superb.
I would like to stay again, but the honeymoon suite is a bit pricey but still worth it. Unfortunately at that price it may be a once a year visit.
Location at one of the highest points in Raleigh. The restoration was meticulously done. Beautiful!

Beautiful, clean and peaceful space, comfortable beds and linens, and luxury touches (Frette robes, Dyson hair dryer). We loved the dining and lounge areas in the home too, and enjoyed the delicious breakfast as well.
Special shout out to Mindy for going out of her way to make us feel cared for! She packed us a wonderful to-go breakfast for our early flight and arranged various little goodies and special touches during our stay.
Breakfast could be improved. I would have liked an omelette freshly made. I was given egg veggie bites.
