The price
We had a really enjoyable stay at Ruins Luxury Resort and would definitely return.
The location is excellent, particularly for access to Yalıkavak Marina, which is only around 10 minutes away by taxi. The marina has a real Dubai-style feel, with plenty of restaurants, shops and nightlife, so the hotel is very well positioned if you want to explore the area as well as relax at the resort.
The hotel itself has a lovely private beach/peninsula area, a very good pool and plenty of sun loungers, and the sea was beautifully clean. We visited towards the end of the season, so the hotel was quieter than it perhaps would be during peak summer, but we actually really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere.
Being adults-only was a big plus. The guests seemed to be a nice mix of nationalities and generally ranged from their mid/late twenties through to their forties, which gave the hotel a relaxed, grown-up atmosphere without feeling too formal.
The facilities were very good. The gym isn't huge, but it's a perfectly good size for the hotel and had everything we needed. We also had a couples Thai massage in the spa, which was excellent.
The watersports were great fun and the optional drone video was particularly impressive — very professionally produced and a brilliant memory from the trip.
The staff were friendly and accommodating throughout, and room service in particular was excellent.
Overall, I think the hotel represents very good value for money compared with some of the other luxury hotels in the Bodrum area. You get a genuinely high-end experience without necessarily paying some of the extreme prices of the better-known resorts, which also leaves you feeling able to go out and enjoy more of the local area.
The food was really good, and consistently good too, either at breakfast/room service, restaurant or from the sun loungers.
We had a brilliant holiday and would happily stay here again.
Given the age range and style of guests, I think the hotel could perhaps create a little more atmosphere around the pool or beach for part of the day — maybe with slightly more upbeat music or a DJ during a defined afternoon period. There is obviously a balance to strike, because the peace and tranquillity is also one of the hotel’s strengths, but I think there is an opportunity to offer a little more of both.
The watersports were very good, although perhaps slightly expensive. I appreciate that they appear to be operated independently from the hotel, but I suspect more guests would make use of them if the pricing was a little lower.
It was also a shame that Sips Bar had closed for the season on the evening we arrived, although completely understandable given that we were visiting towards the end of the summer season.
The nearby Villa Beach Resort is only a few minutes’ walk away and offers a livelier beach-party atmosphere during the day. Given that Ruins is adults-only and attracts a relatively young international crowd, I do think there is possibly an opportunity for the hotel to develop its own beach offering a little further and create a similar experience for part of the day. For me, that was probably the only real trick the hotel was missing.
Everything else about the hotel was genuinely exceptional for the price point. I really hope that value proposition doesn’t change, because I think it is one of the things that sets Ruins apart from some of the other luxury hotels in the Bodrum area.

The staff was incredible particularly Valerie. We visited on our honeymoon and she went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. We appreciated the personalized service and we didn’t feel like just another guest. Breakfast was also delicious!
We normally like smaller hotels and this was a little busier but still beautiful and great amenities and staff.
Établissement, catastrophique, salle, inconfortable, matelas allaité d’oreiller très peu de personnel. Bon la plage et la piscine et la croissanterie. Excellente mise à part ça l’emplacement peut-être parce que c’est pas loin de yalikavak

We really enjoyed our stay. Hotel was in convenient location. Staff were very extremely friendly and went above and beyond for us.Breakfast buffet has plenty options and the cleanliness and hygiene standards were exceptional. Overall, we were extremely happy with our experience throughout our stay.

Great vibe at the hotel overall, stayed relatively younger vibe. Great breakfast and the Sips bar was a nice place to chill.
Missing a sandy beach and room could have been slightly more clean
Wir waren mit der wunderschönen Anlage insgesamt sehr zufrieden. Die gesamte Hotelanlage ist wirklich sehr schön gestaltet.
Auch die Zimmer haben uns grundsätzlich gut gefallen.
Besonders positiv hervorheben möchten wir den herzlichen Empfang. Mehmet, Ertuğrul und Zeina waren ausgesprochen freundlich, hilfsbereit und aufmerksam. Vielen Dank dafür!

Leider war unser Eindruck vom Personal am Beach und im Restaurant nicht gut. Wir waren 5 Tage dort und 4 Tage davon wurde an unserer Bestellung immer was falsch gemacht oder es wurde vergessen. Teilweise wirkte der Service wenig aufmerksam und nicht besonders herzlich. Auf eine Bestellung mit Kaffee und Essen am Beach haben wir eine Stunde gewartet. Aber auch die banalsten Sachen wie türkischer Kaffee wurden vergessen oder zu spät serviert. Wir mussten die Kellner 2-3 an die Bestellungen erinnern. Das war super anstrengend und hat unseren Urlaub verschlechtert. Das Frühstück war an einem Tag um 7:30 uhr nicht pünktlich vorbereitet.
To be honest, a great place to stay whilst in Bodrum, Yalikavak. I shared and took with my sister and we really enjoyed our stay. The staff and so lovely , they go out of their way to assist. The views are incredible, the book and the chilling area( sun bed). The breakfast is excellent, especially the baked goods. The food is whole and fresh and the clean the rooms daily. The place is peaceful.
I like everything honestly, I’d just suggest that by the beach club area, they play music and make it more lively. And that they extend the restaurant menu with is quiet limited
Amazing location. Staff were very nice and helpful! Made us zucchini for our beach trip which was really lovely. Great location close to everything you want to get to. Few too many flashing
No space to put your cloths in the room. The rooms bed sheet was also very small. If there are two of you be prepared to move it horizontal. Quite expensive for drinks.
We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful hotel. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed, cared for, and incredibly well looked after. The hotel management truly went above and beyond to make our stay special.

She took great care of our booking, arranged a lovely upgrade for us, and was always available whenever we needed anything. No matter what we asked for, she would take care of it immediately and with such kindness and professionalism.
Honestly, this was one of the best hospitality experiences we had throughout our entire trip. The level of service, warmth, and care was truly exceptional.
We had such a wonderful time and would absolutely love to come back. If we have another trip in the future, this hotel will definitely be our first and only choice. Highly recommended! 🤍
