Royal Galápagos Inn

מבנה ישן מאד. מריח לא טוב. ארוחת בוקר דלה.

We had a horrific experience at Royal Galápagos Inn and were forced to check out at night due to severe hygiene and sanitary issues.

Unprepared Room: Upon arrival, the initial room assigned to us was dirty and uncleaned. The staff moved us to another room.

Severe Ant Infestation: When we returned in the evening, we found the room completely infested with ants—covering the furniture, table, floor, and bed. My wife was bitten multiple times while sitting on the bed.

No Hot Water: The shower had no hot water. When we informed the front desk, the staff member checked, falsely claimed it was fixed, smiled, and told us to "play with the faucet" before leaving without solving the issue.

Refusal of Refund: Due to these uninhabitable conditions, we packed our bags around 20:00, informed reception, declined a third room offer, and walked out to find alternative accommodation. The property refused to refund our payment for a service they failed to provide.

Avoid this hotel at all costs! Health hazard and unacceptable service.

The rooms were pretty dirty. We did not get clean linens every day. Bugs appeared in one of the bathrooms and got into some luggage. The property is also under construction so the pictures don’t look like it does in real life.

La realidad es muy distinta a las fotos. Sin agua caliente, mala limpieza, desayuno mediocre. En la noche queda cerrada la entrada al hotel, menos mal nos dieron llave de esa puerta. Decepcionante en todo sentido, mediocre, no lo recomiendo.

There were mosquitos in the room. The hinges of the toilet door gave out a cranky sound when opening the door at night.

L'évier de la salle de bain avait été oublié du nettoyage à notre arrivée.

L'absence de la couverture wifi dans la chambre, le lavabo inadapté dans la sallede bains et le dysfonctionnement du réglage eau chaude/eau froide de la douche.

The only small downside was that the bed was a little too firm for my preference, and the pillows were not very comfortable. However, this was a minor issue, and overall, my experience was excellent.

The actual rooms left a lot to be desired. I was in room nine which is older had ants linens that were not very clean and shower fixtures that definitely needed updating and a fresh paint job. I actually stayed at another property for two days within my stay here and my room was never cleaned while I was gone. Trash wasn't emptied? sheets weren't changed , bed wasn't made. I was very very disappointed at that.

There appears to be a focus on the new construction going on which was noisy and the existing rooms got no attention at all.

The place looks like a construction site - half of the building is demolished and the other half is still standing. It is not clean at all; there is sand in the shower and ants everywhere. The worst part is that there is no hot water. When we contacted the owner, he mostly ignored our concerns and claimed that there was hot water and that we had simply used it all up. The price is far too high for conditions that are comparable to a very poor hostel. I would not recommend staying here.
