Pros:

Very central location, barring the noise from karaoke that went on til midnight. Close to night markets, clothes shops (I got a few beautiful dresses). It's not as close to the train station as I thought so I had to pre book a 1am taxi (easily done at reception). Room was super clean, bathrooms were basic with option of modern and squat toilet.

Cons:

Everything was great. I didn't like the bad karaoke singing but it had nothing to do with the hotel. The walls are very thin so I could hear the couple next door talking and at one time someone was wailing / crying.

Cons:

Den gamle mand i receptionen var MEGET uhøflig! Han nægtede at give mig et værelse. Jeg havde booket og betalt. Han ville også have penge af mig. Jeg har rejst i Thailand i mange år og jeg har ALDRIG fået så dårlig behandling før!

Strategic location and spacious room
Pros:

The location is very strategic in the town with two morning markets with less than 5 minutes of walking distance and night market with less than 2 minutes of walking distance. Those markets sell local food with affordable prices. It's also near to bus terminals and company selling bus+ferry tickets to islands nearby, eg koh samui.
The room is spacious and the bed is comfortable. For me, the room with only fan is the part I like the most as I am always not feeling well under air con.
The staffs are friendly and able to speak English. A postcard given when checking out with some handwritten words further makes me feel their sincerity.

Cons:

This place without lift maybe an issue for some but ok for me. Also, seems no hot water to bath.

La ubicación a 5 mnst del puerto ,2 mnt de Street Food Market y el precio, para pasar.una noche o.corta estancia como hicimos nosotros,que.teniamos ferry nocturno y llegamos a las.12 a Surat Tahni, esta genial, aire acondicionado bueno y camas cómodas,un poco viejo pero muy bien.

We’ve been staying at this hotel many times over the past few years and it’s just been great price is excellent for the location is perfect in the neighborhood. All sorts of things going on. People are good in this hotel and the place is clean and neat and funky on the edge of gold.
