I’ve arrived to kusum after a not so pleasant experience in another hotel. As a long term solo traveler I was a bit distressed and really exhausted. They didn’t know this, but they didn’t have to because being professional and extremely kind is their nature. EVERYONE in Kusum, without exception, had a flawless customer service, always ready to help and solve any problem that arose with the best energy and professionalism possible.
This was really what I was looking forward to: resting body and mind, so would be more than enough. But this hotel kept surprising me, and then I had food there and it was heaven on earth! So delicious, great portions. The complimentary breakfast is a true banquet of nutrition and quality.
Ah, and you really can walk to the airport in 5min, no windy roads, you have pathways throughout. (If not they have shuttle as well)

The brown water in the toilet is a bit shocking at first, but it’s not the hotel’s fault. Eventually I got used to it.
The location is excellent, just a 7-minute walk from the airport. I received a welcome drink which was very refreshing. The room was very clean, and the overall service was great.
One thing that surprised me was how delicious the food was. I had Thakali Khana as requested and Chicken Tikka, and both were very tasty.
I will definitely visit again. Great hospitality!
I enjoyed their food it was awesome test is still in my mouth specially mustang momo. I really impressed. also room and whole hotel looks so clean and comfort.

The food service here was absolutely terrible. I ordered chicken chili and spaghetti, the chili was ok ok , but I found an ant in the spaghetti. Later, I ordered a banana lassi. Instead of informing me that it was unavailable, the staff simply showed up at my door with a sweet lassi without any prior notice. To make matters worse, there was a hair in that lassi.
I also ordered a fruit salad with a special request to include cucumber, but they initially served me just plain apple and watermelon. They did eventually replace it with a standard fruit salad, and although it still lacked cucumber, I accepted it.
To compensate for these inconveniences, management offered me a complimentary taxi to the airport. However, during checkout, I realized they had overcharged me for the inedible food. They simply inflated my meal bill to cover the taxi fare while pretending it was a free service. This is one of the most unhygienic and worst hotels I have ever stayed at in Nepal. I highly recommend avoiding this place. I have attached photos of everything as proof.

Clean rooms

The hotel is within walking distance (400m) of the airport. The staff are friendly. The room was large and comfortable. The breakfast was good - choice of eggs, toast, fruit, tea/coffee.
The surrounding area is like the non tourist parts of Kathmandu so don't expect modern shops or buildings.
Internet was slow.
