Freshly decorated. Bright airy. Bed was super comfy, linen and towels superb. Good parking.
All staff I interacted very friendly and helpful
Breakfast very good
Insufficient signage to navigate about the place. Old heritage building lots of doors and corridors so working out where you’re going is a challenge.
None of the loo seats (in the room and public facilities) seemed to fit or stay in position
Location is not completely maintained
The electrics to the heater in the bathroom were open and exposed. The heater itself was so hot I burned my back as I stepped out the shower/bath.
The spiders continued to flow as I slept.
The parking went from non vacant to over flowed.
The food facilities are non existent.
Paint doesn’t usually peel off the wall. You don’t usually wake in the middle of the night from the halocaust.!!!!
I loved Wendy - she dealt efficiently with things. I loved my room x Thank you Wendy 🩷
Coffee machine delivered lukewarm coffee - and cleaning wasn’t great - a little hit and miss - but wouldn’t put me off staying again x
The location
The staff rude breakfast cold room smells like a drain pipe and dirty sheets
Lovely grounds although the lake had a lot of rubbish in it.
Old chair etc
Wildlufe
Location, rooms, parking, gardens and bar.
Beautiful place to stay and wonder round the grounds. Good price for what you get
It took 20 minutes to get into our room even though we were told someone would be waiting there with a key
Gorgeous grounds. Cheap and dog friendly.
This please needs love. It’s dated. The drinks were sadly expensive - London prices. The food was okay.
The surroundings are stunning.
The rooms especially the beds are small, plastic protector, no air con, small fan.we were on the top floor it was awful, sun all day,not good at all for breathing issues.
Offered water however it was warm.
Moved room on the 2nd night it was bigger but still super hot.
Housekeeping walked straight in no knocking.
Dining room the buffet area was full of ants. I can appreciate it's likely because if the venue but could easily be treated more so im food area.
Outside bar the furniture is old rattan and broken only one cushion for all.
Decor old it needs a refurbished, the shower was a dribble.
We almost came home, carpets stained.
Needs a food scrub!
Staff accommodating yo our request to move room manager friendly, bar staff need some oomph wr waited ages as he walked past 3 rules before serving.
Outside venue stunning as I say but basic they've tried to make a beautiful house modern but can see they have cut corners
Could have been more choice for vegetarian
It’s a lovely space and great for those with dogs
It needed a bit of refurbishing and no AC
Most of all the building and grounds as I remember it well as a school child living close by.
Breakfast Bun Fight!! Most disorganised, lack of staff, lack of seating unfortunately, lack of food. Below the standard.
