浴室の脱衣所が汚い

My check-in experience was quite frustrating. I was told by the staff that my booking had not been amended as requested and that it was too late to make any changes, so I would need to pay the difference. The staff attitude came across as rude.
I had records from Booking.com, and after some back and forth, the staff finally called booking.com and discovered that the hotel had actually missed a the request email. They then agreed to correct the booking and refund the difference. However, it has now been sometime and I’ve chased Booking.com twice, but so far I’ve only received credit instead of an actual refund, which is quite disappointing.

I chose this hotel because of the onsen and sauna, but sauna was OOO on the first night. The onsen area itself is very small, with limited lockers and shower space, even had to queue to use the facilities.

Also, no luggage storage service available after check-out which was inconvenient.

In a back street that was just about snowed in.
As the hotel has no restaurant facilities, breakfast was a bento box, which did vary slightly each day.
A daily onsen fee of 150 yen was payable in cash, even if you did not use that facility.
